About the roomies
I’m a 38 year-old professional female with multiple college degrees. I’m single (and not looking) and don’t have kids, but I do have an elderly cat with social anxiety who will probably hiss at you and run away. So if you’re terrified of or allergic to cats, then this isn’t the spot for you (although if you’re home she tends to just stay in my bedroom). I have two nieces (7 and 4) who may stay over a few times a year. I’m an English teacher who is introverted and loves to read and hike. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink (but don’t care if you drink occasionally), I don’t do drugs, and I and my house are not 420 friendly. I have asthma, so the smoking is a hard no for me. Other than that, I’m pretty easy-going. Unless you drink my last Coke, we probably won’t have any issues! lol I may occasionally have small friend get-togethers that are pre-arranged with you, and you are always more than welcome to join in (think a dinner party and/or a game or movie night 1-2 times a season) or be home while these happen. I have a small, core friend group. I’m also open to you doing the same.
I’m looking for someone who is quiet, professional, and clean and organized, especially in common areas. I’d prefer no other pets (mostly my elderly cat’s preference), but I’m open to that discussion for an additional pet deposit and pet rent. You would preferably only bring what fits in your bedroom as the rest of the house is fully furnished. I really love home decor and enjoy decorating for the seasons. You can use my shower curtain (it’s a neutral black and white stripe pattern from Target) or bring your own for the bathroom. I may occasionally request bathtub access if you’re okay with it… I only get a shower in my room, and I love soaking and bubble baths. I will never be upset if you just need quiet time and space in your room, either. I 100% understand that need and utilize it often. Bonus points if you work afternoons and evenings as that’s opposite my schedule.
