Bee's room

I’m not comfortable posting pictures of the apartment online where anyone can see, but do have pictures ready for anyone interested in renting. The apartment is in Shelby Township, near Yates. It’s 2br2ba, 1,100sqf, with a large living room, a smaller kitchen/dining area, and a balcony overlooking the lake. The common areas are furnished, and I have quite a few houseplants, lots of art on the walls. If you have furniture you’d like to bring for the common areas I’m happy to discuss. The bedroom will be unfurnished, it has a window overlooking the lake, a closet, and a bathroom across the hall. There’s two additional closets available for storage space outside the room. There’s laundry on-site, a shared laundry room in the ground floor of our building (the apartment is on the second/top floor), it’s pay-to-use. There’s open parking outside the building and a single covered parking space available (I don’t use it so you’d be free to take it). Rent is $650, utilities (internet, electricity, and gas) average around $50 a month, give or take, so average monthly cost will be $700 total.

I’m friendly but pretty introverted, I’m not really looking for a friend to live and hang out with, just someone to split rent with. Someone independent and personally/financially responsible, who knows how to live on their own and take care of their own needs without being dependent on me. Ideally someone who’s friendly when we’re together in the apartment, but isn’t going to expect to be hanging out together 24/7. I work from home, so I’d prefer a roommate who works a full time job and/or goes to school outside the apartment so our schedules don’t clash, and understands I need privacy/not to be interrupted frequently while I’m working. I’m immunocompromised, so I’m looking for a roommate who is fully vaxxed, boosted, and Covid-conscious. I’d like the apartment to be comfortable and welcoming a place where we both feel good coming home to.
