The property is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath house with a small yard, backyard, and a few sheds. The house belongs to a military couple that live elsewhere on a base, who are effectively the landlords. House has oil heating, which the owners cover the costs for, a washer and dryer already hooked up, as well as a basement. Some of the storage space is occupied by stuff belonging to the owners, but they don’t have much here. They periodically come by to check on the place, so any help with cleaning and yard work would be appreciated. We pay for electricity, water/sewer, and internet, split evenly.

The total rent we pay is $2000. Whoever lives in the master bedroom pays $800, whereas the other smaller rooms pay $600. The room opening up is the master bedroom, which has a few nice bookshelves and a computer desk, though these can be moved if necessary. If you would prefer the cheaper rent of one of the smaller rooms, someone else can move into the master bedroom. Small pets are welcome, such as cats, though the owners are averse to large dogs that could scratch the wood floor or pets that tend to leave lingering odors, such as rats or ferrets. No pet deposit is required, however. You just need to clean up after your pet if you bring one.

The location is close to 82nd street, which gives access to Trimet’s 72 and 19 bus lines. The Clackamas Town Center is only a few minutes away as well. Neighborhood is relatively quiet, and we’re in walking distance of a park.

My name is Den. I’ll be going to Portland State University as a full time student this coming Winter term. I mostly stick to my room and the living room. The other person who lives here is Neb. We’re a couple of nerds who like video games, movies, and D&D. I host regular TTRPG games, mostly on Saturdays and occupy the dining room or living room for most of the day during that time. My group of friends can be pretty noisy during this time, so if that’s an issue, be sure to let me know. Neither of us smoke, though if you do, we just ask you do it in the back. Neither of us are really against cannabis, but the home owners just don’t want any lingering smells, so if you do like to smoke pot, as long as you do it outside or off property, we have no issue.
