Hello. I am looking for someone to fill my second unfurnished bedroom beginning [08/01/2023] (could possibly be furnished, please inquire). The bedroom is roughly 10’ x 9’ and has mirrored doors on the closet which is about 8’ wide. There’s a west facing window that opens for a nice breeze when the front door is open. Our building is two floors with 6 units. There are two on the ends of the lower level with garages between them. I am the lower back unit.

There’s one full bathroom which we will all share. It includes a combo shower with a full tub. The kitchen is compact but has everything we need, including: gas oven and range, frig, toaster oven,microwave, dishwasher, and all the pots/pans/plates/etc; and we’ll happily make room for some extra things. In the corner of the kitchen is the stacked washer and dryer. We have a small bar top height table with 4 chairs.

We’ll split the utilities equally (gas, electric, and internet) which is generally around $75/month/person. There’s a central gas in-wall heater but no a/c. The ocean breeze keeps things nice and cool in the evenings during the summer. Street parking is free and doesn’t require a permit. The streets around our place have street cleaning on Wednesday and Thursday, either 8-11 or 11-2. There are 2 driveway spaces for unloading groceries and quick drop offs.

The beach is about 4 miles to the west. There is plenty of everything around in the way of shopping, food, and fun. We’ve both lived in southern California for a long time so feel free to ask any questions if you’re new to the area.

About you: I’m looking for someone employed full time (or a student) with day hours. Active, fit, healthy, and into traveling and adventures. I prefer to find someone social but doesn’t plan to bring the party home with them. Sorry no free-roaming pets, but fish and reptiles are cool. This is a smoke-free unit. Rent is due promptly on or before the 1st of each month.

I prefer not to have a couple live here, but if you’re dating someone the occasional overnight is always okay.

If this listing is up then the unit is still available. Please, if you reply by email, include some details about yourself to save us another message to ask. We plan to meet anyone we might consider for the room prior to agreeing, so if you’re not in the area we’ll want to setup a Zoom or Facetime call. Once a person is selected they’ll need to submit some information to our landlord so they know you’re living in the unit. I prefer to have someone stay at least three months, but the agreement is monthly after that.

I’m a single guy who works 6days a week. My hobbies are working out, cooking, football and going out on the weekends. I have a 6year old husky who is well trained and comes with me just about everywhere.
