1 bedroom (12x14 with double closet and private non-adjacant full bathroom) room for rent in family-centric Fox Run subdivision in North Liberty (non-furnished, furniture in photos will be moved out).

Single male, female, or couples welcome to apply. Graduate student or career-oriented applicants preferred.

Lease is month-to-month and includes all utilities, shared laundry, internet wifi (no cable) and street parking. Security deposit equal to one month’s rent due prior to move-in. Smoking/vaping ok outside only.

Home is split-level owner-occupied by single male in mid 30s. Upper level is your bedroom/bath and my home office. Main level is shared living room, kitchen, and backyard deck. Lower level is garage and my room. I take care of snow removal and lawn care.

I primarily work from home weekdays with some out of town travel, so common courtesy quiet hours from 11pm-7am on “school nights” are expected.

Dogs are welcome; subject to compatibility with my very senior golden retriever who rules the house as if he’s king of the realm… when he’s not napping. He’s overly friendly, demands constant attention, and sheds a lot. The house has doggy door and fenced yard. My dog gets along well with other dogs but not cats or other pets.

Compatibility and background check will be primary factors for approval. Neighborhood is social and mostly young families. Moderate drinking and socializing around a driveway bonfire on Friday nights is the norm - heavy partying or drug use is not. At least two in-person interviews/meetings with me will be required before approval to ensure compatibility.
