About the room

Hi! We currently have 1 room available in our shared three bedroom home in the heart of NE.

-Available late October/November (flexible move in-date) -6-month lease available, then month to month Rent: $825/month + 1/3 utilities (gas, electric, and water)

✓-Internet (400 mbps) ✓-Laundry located in lower level of house ✓-Furnished (except for your room!)

About you and your room! We are looking for a good fit to the house and are less concerned about filling the room. We are looking for folks around 26 - 35. PhD students, working professionals, etc. would be a good fit with our schedule.

-This room is located downstairs (other two bedrooms located upstairs) with a closet. This also comes with an off-street parking space.

The location is perfect and below are a few key amenities within this area just to give you a sense for how awesome this location is!

-4 blocks from Indeed brewery, Centro, Able, Dogwood Coffee, Core Yoga, etc. -8 minute bike ride to Minneapolis Bouldering Project! -10 minute walk to Mississippi River -9 minute bike ride to Eastside Food Co-op or 5 minute bike ride to Lunds on University -Endless other options, such as 6 minute bike ride to Young Joni, 331 Club, etc.

Other House Stuff:

  • Currently there is already one dog (hypoallergenic but still sheds) living in the house. Juniper is 2 years old and loves being around others. She is still working on her door greeting manners. We like having this as a one dog house. No cats are allowed in this home due to cat allergies.

-Brand new washer and dryer!

-Updated kitchen and upstairs bathroom have been remodeled. All new natural wood windows have been updated through house.

-Yard: The backyard is fenced, has a garden, fire pit, and has a ton of outside storage for bikes and other gear. There is off-street parking for up to 4 cars.

-Extra space:There is a 4th room that acts as a second living room which is located downstairs by your bedroom. There is also a half-bathroom with a new vanity and lighting.

If you are interested:

  1. Please respond with a little about yourself and what you are looking for in a shared home with roommates. NOTE: We will not respond to any inquiries unless you take the time to share what you are looking for in a shared home, what your interests are, and whatever else you want to share to help make sure all roommates are good fit!

  2. We will reach out if it seems like a good fit and then we can figure out tour. After that if its still a good fit then background/credit check (it costs $38 but will go to your security deposit).

  3. Payments to be aware of: -Security deposit ($400) -First and last months rent due with signing lease: $1,650 -Rent due 1st of month, lease will be for 6 months and then go month to month after that. If you are a traveling nurse we can chat about a lease time that works for you schedule.

About the roomies

About the roomies: Roomie 1/House owner: Is 37, work in water resources. Enjoy skiing, biking, yoga, philosophy, Capoeira, climbing, cooking and enjoy meals with others, and of course coffee and IPAs. Before living here/buying this home, I’ve really enjoyed living in Portland, Denver, and San Francisco. Owns a 2-year old dog (see pictures and below info on Juniper) and currently work from home 2-3 days a week.

Awesome Roomie 2: Is 29, works as a neuroscience researcher over at the UMN. Loves cooking, dogwood coffee, reading, making yummy chai tea for the house, and overall incredible person. Also works from home 2-3 days a week depending on schedule.

Overall, looking for others to utilize good communication and continue to build an easy going, kind, positive home for all to enjoy together. We all will have our own lives but still enjoy cooking meals and meeting up as well. Currently, we go to Alchemy gym 3-5 times a week together which is always fun. We work a typical 9-5 schedule, so often on weekdays we both work, workout, cook or meet up with friends, and generally are in bed around 10-11pm. Overall, we all want our home to feel safe, welcoming, and clean. If you are a big skier, biker, etc that is a plus!
