Hi all! I have an open room in the apartment I am currently leasing. My roommate is moving out by the end of December so the moving-in date would be January 1st. The apartment is in Rockville, MD 20851 in an apartment complex. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath (shared bath with me). We have a pretty little balcony that is very nice in the summer! It also has 3 closets throughout the apartment for storage. I live with my small dog (male, bichon frisé) who usually stays in my room when I’m not home, he’s potty trained and is a sweetheart :). He doesn’t shed at all. I am also planning on adopting a cat soon. The room is unfurnished. The living room is partially furnished, there is a sectional sofa and a dining table. If needed, you can bring your furniture as well. The only thing I ask is that there are not too many things because the apartment can feel a little crowded. (prefer having a clean, minimalist space ). Rent is $1568 total, flat rate. Each person pays $784 each month, plus utilities (electricity, wi-fi) which come to around $80 to $100, depending on the use. The lease is month-to-month, but the office gives us the option to sign a year-long lease and renew if necessary. The lease is in my name, and you would be sub-leasing from me. The management office usually does a background check, but it is very simple - accepts students and young people. There’s available parking. There is a laundry room in the basement of the building but not in the apartment. Females only, preferably early to mid-20s. This is flexible, but it is important for me to get along with my roommate and create a safe space for both of us, in which we can communicate openly and can build a friendship, always respecting each other’s space and boundaries. I am big on cleaning, not OCD but I like the keep the spaces tidy and smelling good. There will most likely be a weekly cleaning schedule adapted to our times. I am also very understanding and know that we sometimes have a lot going on, but all of these things need to be talked about. I moved to Maryland about a year ago from Chile! I live with my small dog. I go to Montgomery College, Rockville campus. I’m 23 y/o. I would love to be friends with my roommate, and spend time together but I also love to have my own space and respect other people’s space. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
