Yssy's room

Lovely BALLARD DUPLEX, 3 levels, bright and sunny. Its only one block from the Burke-Gilman bike trail and a bus that takes you practically straight to the UW campus. It’s walking distance to the Ballard farmer’s market, Ballard locks and other Ballard shops/restaurants. It’s on a dead-end street in a quiet neighborhood but it is near the train tracks so there is some train noise.
The bedroom for rent is downstairs (set up as a living space in the pictures) in a partial basement (but with several windows). It is large and has an alcove (see picture) that could be used as a study/office space. It has its own bathroom (see picture). The shared washer/dryer is in that bathroom and there’s a shared closet at the base of the stairs, but otherwise you’ll have the downstairs room and bathroom to yourself. There’s even a separate entrance. The entry level is shared space with a small but updated kitchen and a living room/dining room with nice hardwood floors (see pictures). We have the two upstairs bedrooms and our own bathroom upstairs.

There are two of us already living in the house. One of us is a UW student. The other is studying to become a personal trainer. We both enjoy cooking (we are vegan), hiking, climbing and relaxed socializing. We’re looking for a roommate who is a good balance between social and interactive but also studious, not too noisy, not a heavy partier, mostly clean and relatively calm. If you are vegetarian or vegan that is great, but we don’t discriminate against occasional meat eaters. We have two friendly cats so please be cat friendly.
