About the room

This is a ground floor 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. The entry method is a pin pad, you have to download an app and register and it will give you your own personal code as well as the ability to lock/unlock the door from your phone and to give guests their own, one-time access code. Please shut the door promptly after entry, or our cat might try to escape. Our ground floor and upstairs neighbors are fairly quiet and all keep to themselves. The area is very nice, there’s a lot of restaurants/fast food places nearby, some within walking distance. There are quite a few grocery stores nearby and an abundance of Korean restaurants/shops and even a Korean grocery store. It is down the street from the DMV and very close to Kaiser Hospital. There is a 24hour fitness nearby. The complex has a pool and a gym as well. There is one assigned covered parking spot for the apartment that I primarily use, we can negotiate plans to share it. There are ample guest/unassigned parking spaces. The room that is available in the apartment is the smaller of the two, since my fiancé and I share the master bedroom. It has a large closet and an east facing window. This room also has the electrical panel for the apartment. The bedroom doors lock and we will never enter the room without explicit permission. The bathroom is across the hall, it has a storage closet and can be primarily used by whoever is in this bedroom. There is a hall closet which has the vacuum and other various items. It may be used by guests on occasion. The living room is taken up by the couch, TV stand, mine and my fiancés desks, my fish tanks, our cats tower and food area, and some unpacked bins. If you would like some space in the living room, we can clear out some of the stuff. The kitchen and dining room are free use, there will be dedicated cabinet space for you as well as fridge/freezer space. our pots/pants/dinnerware are free to use. If you’d like to use any of our food items, please ask. There is a patio that has a majority of my plants, you are free to hang out there whenever you’d like, we just ask that you not leave the sliding/screen doors open because my cat will try to escape. The washer/dryer are in the patio as well. There is a wall A/C unit in the living room. There are two keys for the mailbox, one is shared and my fiancé has the other one. If there is anything else that I have not listed that you would like to know about, please ask.

About the roomies

The people living with you will be myself (27), my fiancé Michael (25), and our cat Waffle. I work full time as a Veterinary Assistant at a nearby Vet Clinic. Michael is a mechanical engineering student at SJSU and also works sometimes. We’re both California natives. We are pretty chill and will keep to ourselves for the most part. We’re open to making friends with anyone that will be staying with us. There are various clutters around the apartment, but we try to keep the place clean by regularly vacuuming, wiping down the kitchen surfaces, and doing our own dishes. If there is ever any mess/clutter that is bothering you, please let us know. We both have a lot of various items and a lot of unpacked bins that are taking up space in the living room, but we are trying to consolidate and/or move them. We aren’t very loud, although we do laugh a lot when watching funny shows/movies. We don’t stay up super late and will be quiet if you need to sleep early. Both of us enjoy reading, we like going out sometimes with friends or out to eat. I am a huge video game nerd and Michael likes to play nerf. I am also a big plant enthusiast and have a large array in the patio. Michael and I like having planted fish tanks and I have my two tanks here, while Michael keeps his at his parents house. We spend most of our weekends visiting our families. I use my free time/days off work to just chill for the most part, or run errands/go to appointments. Our cat Waffle is pretty young and keeps to herself. She is skittish around new people and may hiss, but she is not aggressive. She doesn’t like other animals though, especially other cats. She’s chill once she gets used to people. Her usual hang out spots are in her tower by the sliding glass door or on the floor in front of it, in our bedroom, on one of the kitchen mats, under the dining table or my desk or any other crawl space. She enjoys flopping in various places sometimes. She will get curious and try to come go into other rooms if the door is open. She will definitely try to escape if the front door gets left open, so please shut it promptly when you come in/go out. She will also go out into the patio if the sliding door/screen is open. She can’t jump up onto the railing, so she can just be shooed back inside. She is a bit of a gremlin, so don’t be surprised if you hear her running across the apartment or randomly meowing. We keep her in our bedroom at night with the door shut, so she doesn’t roam around in the middle of the night. If there is anything else you would like to know, feel free to ask!
