All kitchens/bathrooms are shared with between 1 and 3 other people, depending on the room. Included: fast wifi, paper goods, furniture, kitchenware, cleaning products, sheets, pillows, blanket, towel, all utilities. Professional Cleaning of common areas is also included.
All rooms are furnished, lockable, and are for 1 person only. Many of them are in a duplex house on Emerson Street or on First St. There’s a 2-week minimum stay.
Step 1: Send message with your start + end dates. Approximate is ok.
Step 2: I’ll send Videos of available rooms for your dates.
Step 3: See it in person. I try to minimize the # of people walking thru the apt so that people living there can enjoy peace and quiet.
Step 4: sign a lease, send a security deposit. I don’t take money without a live meeting (in-person or video) for security reasons. I don’t hold a room without a signed lease and security deposit.
There is no work from home unless approved in writing beforehand. You are expected to clean up after yourself while you live here. There are no automatic cleaning fees.
We are not 420-friendly, even for medical cannabis, because it gives off a pungent smell that impacts others who live here in various ways. No smoking, vaping, weapons, or hate in the house or on the property. This is a quiet house in a quiet neighborhood.
Bus stop is 2 blocks away. East Norwalk train station (goes to NYC and Boston) 8-minute walk. Walk to beach 15-minutes, nightlife 20-mins, coffee, ice cream, small gym, diner, restaurants 10 minutes. One-half to one-full month security deposit is required, depending on the details of the booking. You get the deposit back when you move out according to the lease.
Everyone here works a professional job out of the house. Careers: Software/IT, Hedge fund, Golf pro, Fencing instructor, Iron worker, Engineer, Medical doctor, Theater actor, etc. Guys live here most of the time, but this household is for both males and females. The owner doesn’t live here but is there every day. Age range 25 to 45. People who live here are working, traveling and super quiet. A nice conversation with someone in the kitchen while making coffee is typical, but it’s also normal to live here for a couple weeks and not see anyone else. It’s a quiet household and people who live here appreciate that.
