THE APARTMENT 2.5 BR, 1 BA fourth floor walk-up located on the border of Bed-Stuy and Clinton Hill, right between Fort Greene and Williamsburg. It’s under a 10 minute walk to the G. 10 foot ceilings, open kitchen/living room/dining room floor plan, stainless steel kitchen appliances, and a bathroom with a skylight. Ask for the video. I’m more than happy for you to add to the space. I appreciate a style that trends towards minimalism with plants, light, some intentional splashes of color, open, and clutter free. I’m in the smaller bedroom (not pictured). The half bedroom is kind of set up like an office / guest room, which you, friends, and family would be more than welcome to use. Your room would be the huge one!

THE ROOM Available Oct 1st, a king-size bedroom with one south facing window, one east facing window, and a closet. It measures 15 foot by 12 foot. The room is unfurnished. Photos are from current tenant who has a queen size bed, desk, keyboard table, accent chair, dresser, and still room for a cartwheel.

THE LEASE I currently hold the lease, and I’ve been here for a year. You can either be added onto the lease or sublease from me with landlord approval. It’s a one year lease that’d expire September 30, 2023, and there’s a 6 month early termination clause that allow us to end the lease without penalty. My original application included proof of income (last year’s 1040 + pay stubs) and bank statements. There may be flexibility with your application given that I already hold the lease. Heat and hot water are included; gas for cooking + electricity + internet are extra. To move in, you’d need first month’s rent ($1,250) and a deposit ($1,100).

YOU You’re in your mid to late twenties or early thirties and interested in more than just a room (i.e. you’d be interested in spending an occasional casual evening together). You’re self-aware, keep shared spaces clean (i.e. don’t leave dishes in the sink overnight), and know when it’s time for the party to leave the home and go to the city.

THE HOUSEMATE I’m a 30 year old half German half American guy working hybrid office/remote in the clean energy sector (M-F, 8ish-6ish). I enjoy many outdoor activities (biking, rock climbing, soccer, running, etc) but I also love playing strategy board games, going salsa dancing, and appreciating art and live music. The kitchen is definitely my favorite place in any home, and I’d be excited to cook together or just share my meals. I’m self aware and very clean and organized. I also have a green thumb of sorts—or at least enough attention to detail to keep a number of plants alive. I trend on the extroverted side of introversion, but I do need space and time to energize. I want a home that’s calm and relaxing and at the same time inviting for friends. I’d be thrilled to collaborate on hosting dinner parties, game nights, etc.
