• Room is very dark and quiet at night, minimal street noise and no streetlights
• Very quiet window unit AC, ceiling fan for spring/fall, radiator heater for winter
• Comes furnished with queen bed (including 2 year old Tuft and Needle mattress), nightstands, armoire, storage drawer under bed

The house:

• 1916 rowhouse with bedrooms on top floor, social areas on ground floor
• Great for hosting dinners and social events, has a screened-in back porch, a front porch, and a semi-landscaped backyard
• Fully stocked kitchen, separate dining room and living room
• Furnished guest room for occasional overnight visitors
• Woodworking shop, laundry, gear wall, bike storage, full weightlifting setup and other workout equipment in basement
• Ample storage space

Two roomates

Jo is originally from California and works in climate change adaptation planning. She enjoys playing soccer and hanging out outdoors, makes furniture in the basement shop, and can recommend many excellent podcasts.

Giovanni is Italian, recently moved to D.C. for a job in international development. He does triathlon, enjoys biking around the city and beyond, mixes electronic music in his bedroom and loves to cook.

There is also a cat, Mel (somehow short for Marshmallow), who loves laser pointers and personal space.
