About the room
I have a room leased in Burlington that I won’t be able to use this year as I’m still waiting for my visa. The room is available for immediate move-in, for a male tenant (roommate’s preference). I’m planning to move in for the spring term, so your sublease would end some time around late December / early January; I am flexible on that.
This is one room in a two-bedroom apartment at 29 Murray Street, centrally located in Burlington’s Old North End. Very quiet and easily walkable to downtown. Walk to UVM in 24 minutes or bike in 10. Rent is $775/month (half of 1,550 overall rent for the apartment).
The room has a lot of natural light. There is currently a queen size mattress and a dresser in the room that I was going to use (no bedframe). There is also a good-sized shared living room and a small separate kitchen. Lots of shared outdoor space behind the building to enjoy. The apartment includes one off-street parking space which the roommate would be okay with sharing, however there is almost always free street parking in the area. The building has coin operated laundry machines. Electric and Wi-Fi expenses will be shared 50-50. Heat is covered by the landlord. No pets as mandated by the landlord.
Please contact me with a short introduction if you’re interested; if the unit seems like a good fit for you I’ll forward you to Michael, the roommate, so you can figure out if it’s a fit on a personal level.
Please excuse the mess in the bedroom picture, it was taken while roommate’s girlfriend was moving out. Right now the room is completely empty except for the dresser and mattress.
About the roomies
You’d be sharing the apartment with a very friendly mid-twenties guy who’s working as a carpenter in Burlington.
