Are you looking for a room to rent in a single-family home?

Starting September 25th, the master bedroom of my home in Gaithersburg, MD, will be available to rent.

RENT: $1100 (includes all utilities and internet)

LEASE: Month to Month + Security Deposit (preference for a 6-month lease)

ROOM: Semi-furnished room (i.e., queen bed and rug included) with private bathroom

LAUNDRY: Washer and dryer in the lower level of unit

PARKING: One off-street parking spot and plenty of on-street parking

LOCATION: Intersection between Gaithersburg and Germantown. Easy access to 270, RIO Lakefront, Frederick, Baltimore, DC, ETC

HOUSE: MCM style 4-bedroom, 3 bathroom home, back deck with backyard, large kitchen, and living room/dining area in quiet Gaithersburg neighborhood. It is a split-level house with three bedrooms/2 bathrooms on the upper level, the kitchen, living, and dining on the main level, and an in-law suite on the lower level (currently rented). Unfortunately, the house is not handicapped-accessible.

I ask that you be mindful that sound can travel in the house, so keep the volume turned down or use headphones at night. Overall, I am easy-going and believe in solid communication as a solution to living harmoniously together. I will respect you and your belongings and simply ask that you do the same. I do not need to be best friends with you, but I prefer to live with someone friendly. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside, nor is it the house for parties. I occasionally have friends or family over for a nice dinner or glass of wine, but these evenings tend to be pretty low-key.

You are welcome to have guests, but the room is for one person. I am willing to consider well-behaved animals on a case-by-case basis (two kittens currently live here). The house is perfect for a dog, given the fenced backyard and access to a plethora of trails and parks. If interested, please reach out.

The housemates are generally pretty quiet and spend a fair amount of time in their rooms when not working.
