About the room

Basement space available in Cottonwood Heights 1 mile from Big Cottonwood Canyon, and minutes from I-215. Quiet, nice neighborhood.

Living room, bedroom, and bathroom all private space. Available for one person only. No couples or children. No gender preference, lgbtq welcome. No pets.

Upstairs is not community property aside from the kitchen. Two quiet adult females live upstairs. There is a dog and two cats, but they are blocked from entering basement. If you have a pet allergy, this probably isn’t the place for you.

Private entrance available thru back yard. Free street or driveway parking.

The shared laundry room is in the basement. This is also where your private entrance will be if you choose to use an alternative entrance from the front door.

Small refrigerator provided in the laundry room for your convenience. The kitchen upstairs is available for use as long as you are quiet, clean up after yourself, and don’t keep dirty dishes downstairs. Food is not shared and you would keep yours in the basement.

Available September 1st on a month to month rental agreement basis. Utilities and wifi included. $40 background check fee, checks credit, rental history, and criminal background. Marijuana- friendly, moderate drinking is fine, but absolutely no drug addicts/alcoholics are welcome.

About the roomies

2 adult females upstairs, mother (44) and daughter (21). Quiet, peaceful, clean.

Not religious, a-political, no extremes, just live-and-let-live types whose only real rules are to treat people with respect and courtesy and expect the same in return.

Dog is very well- behaved, is mainly indoors, and doesn’t bark without a “reason” (front door doorbell, TV fake doorbell, perceived intruder [amazon, doordash]) - but he stops quickly when realizing he’s overreacted. We have in our delivery instructions to not knock or ring the doorbell or we’ll let him out and they can deal with him.

The 2 cats are also well behaved, but one of them likes to sing the song of his people at odd times and he’s too old to change. You’ll never see or hear the other one, she’s unnecessarily spooked by people other than her family.

House does not smell like animals and is kept clean.
