Fountain Street

The room is about 12’9“ from door to single window and 11’ from wall to double windows. There is a radiator in the corner that makes the space somewhat smaller, but there is over 5ft from the closet to the radiator. Closet sticks out a little less than 2ft, and is a little less than 4 and 1/2 ft wide. The house is in a great spot of Newport, just a short walk from lower thames. It is right off of Spring St, with parking (very rare for deep Newport!) There is a free washer and dryer in the basement. Room will be furnished but I would move all of my personal things into the basement. The room would come with a full size bed (if you’d like I can also move my mattress into the basement) a dresser, a desk, desk chair, book case, a record player stand and extra side table for storage. I’ll be working remotely around the country for two months February and March. I would also like to discuss the possibility of someone taking over this lease for the remainder of it, until end of July 2024. If this is the route we take then I would move out all of my things before you move in!

My two roommates are Jony and Montee. Jony has an indoor/outdoor cat named Romeo, he is the sweetest cat, enjoys people, and loves exploring! The only disclaimer I’d like to give about Romeo is that because he is an indoor/outdoor cat, he will sometimes bring his ‘prizes’ inside to show us. Jony is great about cleaning up the poor animal that Romeo brought in and cleaning or replacing anything if need be. Otherwise, Romeo is a wonderful and calm cat. No other pets are allowed as Romeo is a rescue and does not like other pets. Jony is extremely kind, funny, and easy to get along with. He does a lot on weekends so we miss each other a lot but I’ve known him for two years now! Montee is also extremely kind and easy to get a long with, very funny and easy-going. Montee works at a local Newport Restaurant so he is on a different schedule than Jony and I. If you’re a girl looking to sublet, I can guarantee you will feel safe living with two men, they are both kind and caring people.
