Room: Simple 10’ x 11’ bedroom. New vinyl plank floors. Two windows. Shaded by tree outside.

House: AC, laundry, full kitchen. Bathroom shared with two other bedrooms upstairs. Huge backyard. Three total roomie dedicated parking spots in front of house.

Area: Southwest Denver (technically Sheridan). Quirky and secluded little square between Federal, Hampden, Santa Fe, and Dartmouth. Not much to walk to, but a quick drive to central Denver, Little ton, or the mountains. We’re one traffic light away from Costco and Target! Close to other grocery stores, gas stations, etc.

Me: I bought the home about a year ago. I am a 33 year old single male. I work at an internet company in the tech center and try to be in the office 3 days a week. Other days I work from home (downstairs). I do improv and sketch comedy; I’m out many evenings. I am getting into woodworking and DIY stuff, there is a shed out back that I am working on turning into a shop. I care about rules and boundaries; I just want things to be simple and predictable. I have a lot of cooking gear and other stuff that any roommate can use! Just use it with respect (clean it, put i back where you found it, etc.).

Other roomies: at the time of this listing I have no other roomies. For the first year I lived my friend (we had lived together for 3 years before this house too). She was a professional fine artist/muralist and took one upstairs room as bedroom and one as studio. Now I am looking into renting both furnished and unfurnished rooms. Working on setting up a furnished room now. That leaves two bedrooms upstairs unfurnished. This listing is for the smaller of the two (the larger is 11’ x 13’). If you have a need, you could rent both rooms from me! As I take on more roomies, I just need everyone to be responsible and kind to one another. I will buy and build whatever is needed to make the shared bathroom as good as a shared bathroom can be. We can setup shared living room and kitchen and laundry in such a way as to make it as good as possible for several strangers to share! I’m feeling optimistic about it.

Dog: IMPORTANT I have an 8 year old, 65 lb. mutt, Hobbes. He is one of the sweetest creatures in the world and gets along great with almost everyone. BUT, a few times when things were stressful and I didn’t do introductions properly, he has nipped people. Not attacked, just nipped and broken the skin. But it was scary for everyone. So I now take great care to do introductions very well.

So, before you’d move in or sign a lease, you’d come by and check out the house and meet Hobbes and we’d all get a feel for each other. If you’re not comfortable, or if I’m not comfortable, we don’t proceed further. He’s so so happy and calm at this new house and it’s like 99% chance that all goes well! Just being upfront about it.

Hobbes would not have to be your responsibility in any significant way. But if you are my roomie and you are able to let him in and out of the back yard sometimes when I’m not home, that would be amazing.

NO DOGS or any other pets allowed. No bringing dogs over.
