A Street

Hey there, I’m looking to rent out my spare bedroom to a responsible tenant. It is a medium-large room with a king bed and a dresser. The king bed does take up a bit of the floor space but it is on a 14“ platform frame to add some storage. The room has a large walk-in closet with shelving, a good quality AC window unit, a door with its own lock and key for added privacy, and brand new bedding—the mattress is firm memory foam, two years old, clean and in good shape. The sheets, pillows, comforter, and bed frame are brand new. Window has a view of the gardens in the backyard.

The house itself is an early Twentieth Century craftsman. I’ve spent the last 3 years flipping the house—completely redid the gardens and planted a bunch of trees and flowers, repainted the entire interior and exterior, installed a new bamboo-style fence, upgraded all the light fixtures and house details, replaced the carpet, etc. There are still a couple projects I haven’t finished but I’d say it’s 90% renovated. I actually just got new carpet downstairs this week (the carpet upstairs is only three years old). The bathroom just got new floors, wall tile, and vanity. The house has a couple quirks due to its age, the main ones being there’s only one bathroom, and there’s no dishwasher so you have to handwash dishes.

Large yard with several gardens, backyard deck, and a bird feeder. Detached garage with enough extra room to store a kayak or bike. Parking in front of the house and behind the garage. Property has a complete Ring security system with multiple outdoor cameras.

Small pets OK but no dogs or cats—my cat Persephone LOVES people but can be a bit of a bully around other cats and dogs. I also have a reptile but he stays in a locked tank. Monthly utility bill is split between myself and the renter—it’s usually around a $100 per month per person but is lower in the spring/summer and a little higher in the winter. Internet included. No smoking or vaping inside, but you’re welcome to use the deck outside.

It’s a 2BR house so I’m the only other person who lives here. I work full-time in sales. My interests include writing, reading, hiking, cosplay, comic cons, travel, horseback riding, and running. I’m an introvert (ISFP), respectful, honest, easy to get along with. I don’t have people over too often but I’m ok with guests as long as you communicate with me and it isn’t a daily thing.
