FURNISHED ROOM in a 2nd-floor condo, set in 64 acres of lovely green space, w/4 miles of walking paths for residents only…like living in a private park! Shared bathroom, living room, kitchen (I have most kitchen equipment, Keurig, toaster, dishwasher, microwave, etc.). Balcony/fireplace/patio. Super easy parking; laundry room on site. 24 HR. SECURITY. Great for a QUIET, LOW-KEY person.

THE ROOM: Bed, ceiling fan, smoke detector, desk/chair, closet, nightstand, hardwood floors, rug. I have sheets and bath towels if needed.

OTHER ROOMS: Living/dining room combo, kitchen, bathroom. You have your own cupboard in the kitchen for foodstuff; 3 drawers for bathroom storage.

TRANSPORTATION: Metro Expo line is 6 min. walk. Goes to USC, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Long Beach & DWNTN L.A. A bus stop is right in front of the property. –WALK TO: 10 mins. to CVS, Ralphs (grocery), Whole Foods, Target. –DRIVE TO: 10 mins. avg. to downtown Culver City (Trader Joe’s, a farmer’s market, tons of restaurants & shops). –NEARBY: 10 mins. to Kaiser Hospital; 15-30 avg. to ocean/Universal/downtown L.A. (depending on traffic). –RECREATION: If you’re into exercise, Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook (big stairs/switchback trail) is 1.5 miles away; Kenneth Hahn State Park is 1.3 miles.

UTILITIES, ETC.: utilities & WiFi included.

STORAGE: Small storage space (5’L x 2’D x 3’H) is available for an additional $25/month. It’s right outside the front door, inside the patio gate. You provide your own lock.

GARAGE (1 car): Available for an additional $100/month. NO storage space in the garage.

ME: 56 y.o. teacher; non smoker; no kids/pets. I own the condo. I’m a nice, easy-going person; very tidy, quiet & low-key. Neighbors are pretty quiet, too.
–I do minimal cooking; I’m a 30-year vegetarian (you cooking meat is okay though!). –My TV is in my bedroom; I will use Bluetooth headphones when I watch so as not to disturb you (I’ll ask you to do the same). –On weekdays I’m up and out before 7.30 AM for work; weeknights it’s martial arts practice, out with friends, or at home doing online training for work; weekends I’m usually at my boyfriend’s place.

FYI: Every Wednesday from 6.30 PM-8.00 PM, I run a ZOOM room for a yoga class from the living room (no one physically comes over though); you’re welcome to join!

IMPORTANT: I’m 100% NOT a “partying” type of person. I RARELY have people over (if I did, I’d give you plenty of notice…folks don’t stop by unannounced). I work with 8-year-olds all day…AND deal with their parents…so home is my time for peace and quiet. 🙂

YOU: Quiet, low-key, and TIDY. If you're looking for a roomie to hang out with and do stuff with, this isn't the right place for you. YOU'RE LOOKING FOR: a nice, peaceful, tidy space, free from drama and chaos, to study or come home and chill after a long day's work/travel. THE ROOM: You're free to put up pictures, hang posters, paint the walls, put up a disco ball... Decorate how you want...it's your space. I won't enter without knocking/if you're not home. Doesn't matter to me if the room looks like a tornado blew through it, as long as you keep the door shut 🙂. Just please be considerate of my very nice neighbors whose bedrooms share a wall/ceiling with ours. SHARED SPACE: You are able to...and do...clean up after yourself, especially in the kitchen & bathroom. NOTE: I don't like cleaning either...esp. toilets...but it's gotta be done, so you are willing/able to SHARE in keeping things neat. KEEPING IT FAIR: Certain household duties like cleaning the kitchen & bathroom and taking out the trash are equally shared, including buying shared items: toilet paper, paper towels, and dish/dishwasher soap. (Personal bath stuff & food is separate of course). I'll provide all the cleaning supplies. KEEPING IT REAL: For me, home is a sanctuary. So if you like having your partner/other people stay over...if you like having kids around...if you want friends over all the time...this isn't the place for you. Just being honest. BUT...if you're looking for a calm space to unwind after work...if you work in Culver City and like a short commute...if you're a student needing a quiet place to read/study...if you're retired and looking for personal space...if you like bird-watching (Village Green is well known for this!) then my place would be a great fit!
