About the room
The building is older with great character. No paper thin walls or appliances that break as soon as you touch them. Walking distance to some great bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and most importantly - Cheesman and City parks. Second floor apartment so it gets beautiful natural light and you can enjoy letting the fresh air in. There’s laundry in the building (have to use quarters), on-street parking only (never too hard to find), and the landlord is super helpful. There’s also a small courtyard for everyone to use. The room (as well as the rest of the apt) is currently furnished with all of my stuff. I could get rid of some of my stuff if you want to bring your own, or you could use mine. I would prefer to keep my furniture in the common areas. Wifi is the only thing not included, it’s ~$50 monthly separately.
About the roomies
He/him/his, 28 yrs old, and I work from home full time in insurance claims. I love reading, watching movies, riding my bike, eating/making pizza, and taking my 7-yr old golden retriever, Ellie, for walks. Ellie loves all humans but I don’t want to live with another dog right now. I am open to a cat though. I’m just exploring the option of saving some money on rent so I may end up just keeping the place to myself. Because I work from home and the apartment isn’t THAT big, I would prefer a roommate that doesn’t work from home full time. I spend a significant amount of time in the apartment working but I’m frequently gone in the evenings/on weekends. I’m a pretty independent person and I value my alone time so I would certainly give you the same. Definitely open to making a new friend, watching movies, and developing a mutually respectful roommate-ship.
