I’m renting out a room in my house, (sorry no couples). The hallway bathroom is shared. The room can come furnished or unfurnished, just let me know ahead of time. The picture you see has an airbed, but that was set up when my mother visited; it is currently empty. You can park in the driveway. And of course, the use of common spaces like living room, kitchen, dinning room, washer and dryer. Utilities included are water & sewage, trash & recycling, and electric. The only thing I don’t have at this time is internet. I used to have cable and internet three years ago, then realized how little I used it so ended up canceling it only after a year of use, we can talk about setting it up again. My house is about 8-10 minutes to the Piney Green Gate, or about 13 minutes to the Wilson Gate. Then from the Piney Green Gate to mainside PX is another 10 minutes, so overall it takes about 20 minutes to go from my house to the mainside area of the base. This is just to give you an idea how long it will take if you work on Camp Lejeune. It’s 20 minutes to the New River gate. It’s about an hour to Cherry Point.

Apparently I have to say this, otherwise I’ll end up inviting trashy people. You will have to sign a lease. You will pay the first month (prorated if needed) and the security deposit on the day you move in. That should go without saying. If you can’t pay, then this place is not for you. You are grown! You should be able to pay your rent on time. You should be able to pay for your own food, toiletries, laundry detergent, soap…etc. Again, you are grown! You should have your own transportation. You should have a job. Not just sitting around hoping some government assistance is going to come through. Again, you are grown! Not here for your relationship drama. I don’t want your baby mama or baby daddy banging on my door. If you are struggling to make ends meet, not the place for you. If you are paying child support to multiple ex’s, then close your legs. A lot of times you are in the situation that you are in because of the choices YOU made. You are grown, if you have a whole bunch of issues, you need to stop and reevaluate your life. Funny I have to say all that, because there’s a lot of trashy people in Jacksonville.

Now with that out of the way… I pretty much stay to myself. During free time, I like to garden or watch tiktoks. I like to watch gardening and cooking related videos. I love to cook, so feel free to utilize the kitchen (just don’t use metal utensils on non-stick pans). I’m very much a homebody so no house parties. My house is my peace, so no random guests coming and going. I do have an 9-pound cat that’s 2 years old; she’s a sweetheart. However, we do not want to add additional pets to the household. Thanks.
