Fairplay Road

Looking for a roommate (working professional, m or f) to rent a BR & private bathroom in my house (3br, 3 full bath total). Purchased last year to share with my now ex gf and her two kids. Bedroom is on the top level, kitchen, dining room, living room, and bath/laundry room on main level will be shared. Several closets in BR for storage. Roommate is welcome to use exercise area/equipment in the basement (bench/squat rack, treadmill, punching bag, dumbbells, dip station). Hoping to have a garden next year as well. Electric, high-speed internet, and trash/recycling service included, assuming reasonable consumption levels & habits.

House is 4k Sq Ft and sits on 1.5 acres on Fairplay Rd. Quiet area, has a deck, fire pit out back. I don’t have pets currently (gf has a dog and two cats but they will go with her when she vacates). I don’t mind 1-2 pets if they’re well behaved, clean, & don’t mess up the house.

I’m flexible on the minimum stay, depending on circumstances, just put six months because I’d prefer not to go thru the roomie rigmarole again in the middle of winter haha. Potential to also rent out an additional room if you have a kid, or are a hobbyist, but cost would be more. Feel free to message me to discuss.

34 yr old IT/Database guy, currently working remotely. Outside of my day job, I’m also in a local metal band & run a side business, so I use two rooms in the basement for that and a little home studio setup. We practice elsewhere, so I keep the sound levels respectable, just regular music listening & sometimes a bit louder when exercising in the basement (you’re welcome to do the same after 6pm). I work hard & keep things chill around the house - no crazies, no drama. Prefer a roommate around my own age (20’s, 30’s).

I throw the occasional get-together, but nothing out of hand, just a few friends/family around a fire for the most-part or nerds doing nerd stuff. Occasionally a bandmate might stay at the house overnight to save a trip between practice and a show the next day. I quit cigarettes a while back, but vape sometimes. I don’t mind if roommate smokes, but it must be outside with the door closed so it doesn’t come into the house & butts have to be put in retainer, rather than thrown in the lawn.
