Looking for one roommate to fill a 2 bedroom shared bathroom apartment in Zachary Taylor apartments, central east side of Portland near Hawthorne st. About 5 mins SW of Laurelhurst park. $1,295 total so $647.5 each plus split utilities. $500 security deposit, and no pets allowed unfortunately. This is a month to month lease but I am wanting to stay at least around a year myself, so I’m looking for someone with a similar timeline because I don’t want to have to look for a new roomie every month! Landlord is in the process of moving out the previous tenants, so they don’t have a set in stone move in date for me but it should be between the first and second week in August. Laundry facilities on site right downstairs from the unit. This is a second floor apt with a balcony, so no one upstairs to worry about.

A bit about me and what I’m looking for - I’m (almost) 26 and new to Portland, so it would be great to make friends with whoever I live with but I can make just a co habiting situation work as well! I’m mainly just looking for someone who is clean and considerate of shared spaces, otherwise I feel like I can get along with just about anyone as long as there is communication involved. I’m fairly introverted and quiet, tend to keep to myself when I’m at home but would like to be able be in a space where we can each have friends over from time to time as well! Just not looking for a loud/super social atmosphere where I live overall. I work from home remotely for a few days during the week, its pretty flexible and laid back and its not something that I need the house to be particularly quiet for, I just have to make some phone calls and emails for a couple hrs each day Tues-Fri. And I’ll be looking for a second job and maybe some online classes to fill my time on top of that shortly so I’ll be fairly busy!

When I’m not working I’m very outdoorsy and active, love to go hiking/swimming/camping/running/rock climbing and am always looking for new friends to do any of the above with! Also love to cook, draw, and play a little guitar. Please no cigarettes, otherwise I’m not much of a smoker/drinker myself but I don’t mind if its around, as long as the smoking is outside because I have a partner that may be around from time to time who is pretty sensitive to the smell. I’d prefer a female roommate around the same age but open to any/all orientations! I’m a very open minded, go with the flow kind of person and would prefer someone similar :) Let me know if you are interested or have any questions!! Because the landlord is moving out the current tenants and doing maintenance, I don’t have pics yet but should by early August. I myself am out of town in Seattle until about August 5th, but I can always Zoom or Face Time before that! Otherwise I’d love to link up in person.
