Hi there. I’m Marcus and my partner is Hunter. We are both 30-something professionals looking for a sane, stable, and friendly person to take a single-occupancy room that is opening up in our apartment.

The Place: We have a room coming available in a quaint three bed/two bath duplex in west Asheville. You will have your own furnished room, your own bathroom, and full access to the shared living room and kitchen. Your bedroom/bathroom are furnished. The rent is $700/month (all inclusive), first and last months rent due upon move in.

About us: We’re gay, so if that is a problem, keep moving. We spend all day in jobs that require us to be “on,” so having a home that is a sanctuary is important. We are both friendly people who love to talk and laugh. I am an snarky/sarcastic introverted extrovert who loves to bake, workout, crochet, and read (when I can pull myself away from technology). Hunter has a killer wit and he enjoys technology, the gym, gaming, and picking on me. We have a house-trained, well-mannered, very affectionate, and sensitive Springer Spaniel. He loves people. We also have a cat who will ignore you unless he wants food or pets. We are a hard no on bringing anymore animals into the space. Unless it lives in an aquarium/terrarium in your room, please don’t ask.

About you: LGBTQ+ or an ally. We aren’t too caught up on your political views, but if you identify with the hard right, alt right, or MAGA then we shouldn’t live together. You should have a stable job and your own mode of transportation. If you like hosting large/loud gatherings, we shouldn’t live together. Likewise, if you enjoy hard drugs, we aren’t a good match. You should be looking for a home and not a place to crash for a few days/weeks. Your level of maturity is more important than your age.
