About the room

The apartment is located less than ten minutes from downtown, close to grocery stores, public transportation, and shopping. It’s located next to a nice, quiet neighborhood. This area is perfect for college students or those in the medical field, since it’s close to medical mile and GVSU as well. There is a parking lot at the complex so you wouldn’t have to worry about parking. Highland Park is just a couple minutes away on foot, which has some beautiful scenery.

The apartment itself has laundry in-unit, has A/C, heating, with modern appliances including a gas stove and a dishwasher, and is located on the second floor. The room you’d be residing in is private with a door, and we would share the bathroom.

There is also a patio/balcony attached to the living room, and I have empty gardening pots for your use if you’re interested. There is a lot of wildlife in this spot, I regularly see deer, turkeys, and rabbits around here.

About the roomies

I am 34 and live with two cats. I clean up after myself daily and clean the common areas as needed, and I ask that you clean up after yourself daily to keep it tidy. The apartment is already furnished, and the decor is nerdy/cute style, you can see some of the anime posters I have up. I rarely, if ever, have guests over.

My ideal roommate is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, loves cats, cleans up after themselves, likes quieter hours in the night, and does not drink.

I’m looking for someone who can stay at least six months.

Rent is $700 per month, and the other bills are gas (around $15-$25) electric (around $35-$50), and internet ($15).

There is no security deposit.

Lastly, there is a one-time $50 application fee that is required by the landlord before moving in.

A few questions for anyone interested in the room:

  • How old are you?
  • What do you do for work?
  • How do you spend your time off?
  • What is your sleep schedule?
  • How often do you clean your living spaces?
  • How often will you have guests over?
  • How do you feel about living with 2 cats?
