About the room
The apartment is located about 7 minutes from downtown, close to grocery stores, public transportation, and shopping! It’s located next to a nice, quiet neighborhood. This area is perfect for college students or those in the medical field, since it’s close to medical mile and GVSU as well. There is a parking lot at the complex so you wouldn’t have to worry about parking. Highland Park is just a couple minutes away on foot, which has a nice splash pad and some beautiful scenery.
The apartment itself has laundry in-unit, has A/C, heating, with modern appliances including a gas stove and a dishwasher, and is located on the second floor. The room you’d be residing in is private with a door, and we would share the bathroom.
There is also a patio/balcony attached to the living room, and I have empty gardening pots for your use if you’re interested. There is a lot of wildlife in this spot, I regularly see deer, turkeys, and rabbits around here.
About the roomies
I am a single female living alone with three cats! So you gotta be a cat person. I make sure to keep the place clean, and I ask that you clean up after yourself daily to keep it tidy. The apartment is already furnished, and the decor is kind of nerdy/cute style. You can see some of my anime posters in one of the pictures. I spend a majority of my time at home and work for a few hours in the afternoons/evenings (around 4pm - 9pm) except on days off, and I rarely have guests over.
My ideal roommate is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, loves cats, cleans up after themselves, and likes quieter hours in the night. I usually go to bed around 11pm and get up around 10am. I’m cannabis-friendly, but am seeking a roommate who does not bring alcohol home. My ideal roommate would also not have cats or dogs since I already have 3 cats.
Besides rent, we would be splitting the gas bill, which varies per month (usually around $20 - $30) and the heating bill which also varies ($30 - $60 per month). Internet is subsidized, so you won’t have to contribute to that bill (this could change in the future).
The move-in date is February 1st. If you need to move in a couple days before/after just let me know and I’m sure we can find something that works.
Lastly, there is a one-time $50 application fee that is required by the landlord before moving in.
