Next to beautiful McKinley Park, house is a brand-new construction (2019), fully furnished. Renting out upstairs master bedroom with own private full bathroom, and super large closet spaces. House itself is fully furnished, with zone climate control, a large kitchen, with new appliances (large fridge, dishwasher, and stove, etc).

There’s plenty of parking (one spot in front of house, lots of parking next to park across the street). I have 2-car garage, but would need to clear out some room to park a 2nd vehicle if need (can negotiate addition to rent if garage parking is needed). Utilities included.

Property is Walking distance from the orange line; grocery store, Jewel Osco, Walgreens, Target, and restaurants. Within 2 miles of Costco and Home Depot. 10 minutes from Chinatown (or 2 stops on the orange line), 20 minutes to downtown on orange line, 30 mins to UIC.

McKinley Park is 40+ acres of green spaces with a fishing lagoon, hiking trails, multiple tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, and baseball diamonds + indoor rec center.

Neighbors are all blue collar families, retired first responders / military, or professionals. Neighbors are friendly and helpful.

Single retired Marine veteran of 21 years, currently working a 9 to 5 corporate job in finance downtown. No one else lives on the property. I have a flexible work from home schedule. I have a friendly German Shepherd, and work flexible hours from home. Clean, quiet, respectful, and responsible; looking for similar qualities in tenant. I don’t have parties at the house, but you can entertain if you give me a heads up, and keep it respectful of the property. I sometimes go to bed late, but due to the size of the property, and privacy of the spaces, I shouldn’t be an issue. I’m family-oriented, and a regular volunteer in the local community. In my spare time, I prefer outdoor activities: travelling to distant lands, playing with the pup in the park, riding my bikes (bicycle and motorcycle), and playing basketball at the park. Hoping to pick up tennis and archery but haven’t really had the opportunity yet. During the winters, I try to pick up an indoor sport (this year it’s going to be bowling). Recently rechanneling my inner man-child nerd and dabbling in D&D with some friends. When feeling introverted, I default to reading and playing video games.
