Mary's room

Nice, clean room in a cute, safe neighborhood, Water Crest, with Lake Conroe views! 10 minutes or less away from I-45 while still having peace and quiet from traffic and other noise. The room is 11x11, with optional access to a second room that is 11x10. Both rooms are available for the listed rent/per room price. 100% access to a huge renovated kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a new gas-range stove! The kitchen overlooks an open concept shared living and dining room. We offer a fenced backyard with a covered patio. Driveway access, smart-lock key system, and washer and dryer access. We currently have two dogs and one cat and are open to people with pets!

Roommate #1: Mary, 24– Homebody, friendly introvert, who works Monday-Friday from a desk inside my room. I rarely hang out in the common areas, but like to cook and socialize more at night/weekends. Most nights myself or Luke cook dinner for the house. Roommate #2: Luke, 23– Outgoing, upbeat, and a great cook! Works outside of the house 4-5 days a week. Spends more time than other roommates in common areas. Otherwise, a homebody who prefers to spend more time at home than going out. Roommate #3: Colton, 20– Busy, funny, and low-key! Works outside of the home 3-5 days a week. Spends most of his time in his room. Colton will be sharing a bathroom with the roommate and resides in the room across the hall from the room being offered. Something to note–Colton enjoys gaming in his free time and can sometimes be on the louder side. He is accommodating and easy-going, open and honest communication is necessary considering the across-the-hall proximity of the rooms.

Parents to be, Mary and Luke, will be welcoming a daughter in October 2022. Both reside in the primary bedroom, with an attached nook, where the baby will be kept. This area is on the opposite end of the house as the available room(s). Renter must be okay with having a baby in the home.

We are all three generally clean and tidy people who prefer things to be well-kept up. The following are specific details:

Kitchen–the kitchen is the heart of the home and we want it kept as clean as possible at all times. Dishes are shared and the responsibility for every individual’s dirty dishes falls to the person using the dish unless otherwise discussed or during cooking for the entire house. Whether or not you would like to use the dishes, silverware, spices, etc. already in the kitchen is up to you, but you have to clean up after yourself. This is an important aspect of shared living spaces and we all do our best to be respectful of the other roommates. The fridge, freezer, pantry space, and all cabinets are available for the renter(s) personal items and we are open to sharing what we already have.

Floors–with the house being pet friendly, the already existing animals (we currently have two dogs and one cat), and no carpet (the entire house is either tile or hardwood/laminate) it is important that we all do our part to make sure the floors are free of miscellaneous floor related messes, ample pet hair or any other pet-related messes. We have an established routine of maintaining the floors currently and will continue maintaining them. If you do not have animals you are not responsible for any pet-related issues regarding the floor or any other general pet-related issues.

Washer & Dryer–we are renting the washer and dryer unit and have added the renter’s monthly cost to the listed rent cost. Renter(s) are free to use at their leisure. We do not have a set schedule and we all communicate openly about when anyone in particular needs to use them.

Shared Bathroom–Colton, the roommate that will be sharing a bathroom with the renter(s), does not use any available storage space in the bathroom. There are four total built-in selves, empty cabinets under the sink, as well as a built-in cabinet/shelf combo above the toilet area. In general, Colton is relaxed when it comes to organization/overall tidiness. There is a full-size tub/shower.

We are kid-friendly and open to the renter(s) who might need or want the second room available for their kids. We are open to any renter(s) who have pets, but there is a pet fee and the animals need to be potty trained. We are generally all pretty open-minded people who are looking for roommates that are kind, reliable, and flexible.
