About the room

— Room is available now // Furnished or Unfurnished —
Cute, 2-story, 1930’s house located near the Hollywood District of NE Portland. Walkable to Bus lines and the Hollywood Max station, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and lots of other great businesses. 130sf Bedroom with original hardwood flooring is on the ground floor (but elevated 12’ off the street), has a walk-in closet and use of a mostly-private full bath (with new, tiled bathtub/shower). Bedroom has a fresh coat of paint and a new brass light fixture from West Elm. Linen cabinet in the hallway and plenty of storage in the basement is available. Kitchen is fully-stocked (has a gas range and dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, new West Elm plates, cups, silverware, etc…) next to a ‘formal’ dining room with table for 4-6. Backyard is fenced and private with outdoor dining table, pretty shade trees, cute overhead market lights. New high-end washer /dryer in the basement – parking available in a tandem driveway or right in front of the house on the street. Many of the surrounding houses have been bought by other awesome Millennials in recent years, so we’ve got a great neighbors crew! Utilities have been relatively inexpensive and are estimated >$130/month, at least during the warmer months (includes water, heat, electricity, sewer, trash/recycle, high-speed internet, and security alarm). TV doesn’t have actual cable, but about 100 channels + a few streaming services. – Looking to keep this a pet-free home –

About the roomies

Mid-30’s architect/designer, new-homeowner, portland-native (but just spent the last 10-years in Cali/Colorado). My bed/bath are located upstairs for extra privacy between roommates. I’m an extrovert, very friendly and overly-outgoing– would love to spend some time doing social things with a roommate, but it’s totally not a requirement. While I’m reasonably clean and organized, I am not too worried about some dishes soaking in the sink overnight or some little piles hanging around. I play the piano (in the living room, but not often), love music, concerts, am a major foodie, trail running (albeit slowly), portland summers, and am an avid downhill skier. I’m a non-smoker, light-drinker, liberal-voter who is vax’d and boosted. Being an architect, my life is focused around design, so once all the finishing touches are put on the house it should be quite a charmer. Looking for a 20’s to 30’s year old to share my PDX bungalow!
