BERKELEY COUNTY Medium size room with closet. Full bedroom furniture including new lavender infused mattress. I have 2 indoor cats (Savannah cats f4/f6 miniature-please Google this breed of cat in advance). There is a spitz mix dog here as well that u will hardly ever see much. Prefer no more pets but could consider 1 or 2 more cats or 1 small dog if it is flea treated, nails trimmed, groomed and spay/neutered. We have a huge litter box. I typically use a corn base litter. Rent is $850 and includes everything.

Quiet & MATURE Couples considered for $1000 a month but must be Uber ok with how space is shared here and must park across street if they have 2 vehicles.

This is long but we put it all out there so there’s no guessing. FIRST and MOST IMPORTANTLY: I have 2 fixed Savannah Cats. So u MUST LOVE CATS (and u took time to Google Savannah Cats). If u have a cat it is welcome if it’s fixed, vaccinated and flea free. Myself (female, 54) I work 5:30am-6pm F/S/S so I shower before work around 4am. Next roomie is a friendly lady (68)with her doggy. The other roomie is a gentleman (30) that rents the sofa -has a gentle soul & he works Mon thru Fri 5:30am- 5pm & showers after work. Mostly Introverts but sofa renter at times goes out of town on some weekends. When he’s here u understand that is his space and are respectful/mindful of that fact (& quiet in the kitchen if he’s asleep- be in ninja stealth mode so no slamming cabinets, etc. That being said, we are easy to get along with but we aren’t mind readers. If ya got a gripe say something to me. No Drama. No Divas. No smoking inside per lease and I have health restrictions (asthma) so smoking or vaping outside only. We have outdoor umbrellas set up. Definately NO DRUGS or excessive drinking. Prefer if u rarely consume alcohol. My thing is the ‘I was drunk’ excuse doesn’t fly here if u mess something up. Hence MATURE ppl. Dishwasher runs every other day and laundry privilege 1x-2x a week or weekend. U don’t leave your clothes in washer or dryer for someone else to handle. It is an older townhouse.

When you use the kitchen please CLEAN up behind yourself as in quality check to leave it like you found it as the next person to come use the kitchen would like to have a clean environment. I’m OCD about kitchen counters and so should you be bc u care. You know how to ring out a sponge, wipe counter, table after use and what a cutting board is bc it’s not the counter top. If u spill something then wipe it up with a sponge or paper towel. You know how to wipe hair(or facial hair) off the bathroom counter/sink area. If u cook u know that plastic or wooden cooking utensils are used in coated cookware. Pre-rinse your dishes/flatware/etc before loading in dishwasher. Don’t pile dishes in the sink or a bizillion cups everywhere bc there’s no magic elf or fairy to clean up for u (unless u want to pay extra for maid service which is $40 month). If u are a male, then u already know that toilet seat goes down and u flush the toilet after u use it - quality check after Yourself is WELCOMED & desired (u wipe your piss off the rim and/or toilet seat/underside if u are a male). We will remind you if necessary. You KNOW all about the “courtesy flush” rule and use deodorizing spray like a looney bug after going #2 cuz no one wants to smell anyone’s poo. Keepin it real.

You know that cats mean you can’t leave your drink unattended or without a cap on soda/water containers. If you take medication then you know you can’t leave meds ‘sitting around’ outside of the container bc of the cats. You have very limited visitors coming/going. (Well behaved children are the exception). You don’t constantly go in/out the front/back door 10x a night after 10pm.

I work 12 hour shifts on weekends so I sleep a lot on my days off. Prefer a quiet person that doesn’t get obnoxiously loud. You need your own transportation (or network of rideshares). This is not a hotel and we are not maids or Uber taxi drivers, but we understand when things happen. (Recent roommate was in an accident so I take her to the store once a week -she’s old school-til she can get another car). Walmart delivers here & I have Instacart & Amazon deliveries regularly. I am seeking a responsible and MATURE adult with common sense & a steady income/job. Your age doesn’t matter. I’ve met incredible & intelligent 20+ as well as feeble 70+ and v/v. We jive great with the intelligent people and we have stairs. If u are confrontational or cranky by nature u probably won’t be comfortable here bc we practice PEACE.

If you’ve had addiction or alcohol issues in your immediate past or present we are not the right fit for you. Sorry but we aren’t a rehab house. We will not tolerate theft. We do not share personal belongings or food with others unless u ask first. Please if u have major anxiety, panic, fears, mental health extremes that require adult supervision, 911 every other week, then we most definitely are NOT a good fit as well. I’ve had some real wtf roomies which is why I go to extreme in detailing this for our new potential & prospective roomie. Parking is a tight fit here so we do the car shuffle thing. There is ample parking across the street as well (probably the only downside here) but there is parking in front if u can remember to pull all the way up.

Prefer tv on low and lights off or dim by 10pm (my door stays cracked open with a curtain up bc of my cats but I’m Uber light sensitive). If u are low key, boring, gamer, chill, read a lot, artist type, love cats, pay your rent timely, movie/binge tv, Mennonite type, know how to cut lights off when u exit a room, know how to shut and lock a front/back door behind u, understand that 2 cats are curious & playful & fight (like toddlers) and cannot go outside (& u will be on cat cop watch coming in/out front/back doors). You are cool with the fact that I’m an animal Lover & feed the strays outside- including possum. You understand at random times cats meow in the middle of the night for no reason other than treats, attention or from a full moon perhaps then we will get along.
