Hello There Apt Hunters!

Renting out our apartment. Dates Flexible. Looking for 3+ months. When do you need?

DATES AVAILABLE AND PRICE: Our apartment is available approximately Aug 1st and onward. Prefer you stay till at least end of Oct if possible. Price, $2000/month includes bills paid (electric, gas, internet) and possibly a parking spot for one car if needed, would cost extra to get a spot.

THE LOCATION: Our apartment is located two blocks from the beach. We are on the intersection of East 2nd and Esperanza, in the Alamitos Beach neighborhood of Long Beach. Very close walk to many of the best bars, shopping, restaurants, craft brewery, bakeries, Queen Mary, etc. If you know the area, you know this is an excellent location.

Also only a few minutes walk to Bixby Park and Bluff Park, overlooking the ocean, with Yoga classes, outdoor fitness equipment, several farmers markets each week, and more.

An easy 20 minute drive will take you to Sunset Beach and Huntington Beach, where you can get some of the most beautiful swimming and surfing waters in all of Southern California.

THE APT ITSELF: The entire building, along with our apartment, recently underwent a very extensive gutting and renovation. It’s a sparsely furnished large one bedroom apartment that should cover everything you need - Nice couch, new Purple Mattress queen-size mattress and box spring combo, 2 tables, chairs, etc, the basics

Refinished wood floors, a well-equipped kitchen with stone countertops, bathroom with stone counter and large tub/shower.

WINDOWS: Our apt is the corner unit on the building, with double doors in the main living area that open up onto the street, and another door in the bedroom that opens overlooking the street. There are a total of 10 large windows in our apartment, giving great natural lighting and air flow. Trees outside the windows help shade the direct sunlight and heat. All the windows, the trees, and the close proximity to the beach keep it very cool in this apartment compared to most areas of Los Angeles County.

2 ceiling fans w/ remote control, LED lighting throughout, 3 Vornado fans, and a heater (that you probably won’t need).

BATH/KITCHEN: Chlorine filter on the shower, and a very nice Berkey water and fluoride filter for drinking water in the kitchen, great if you know about that stuff. Our kitchen is well-equipped, we do a lot of vegetarian and raw food stuff. Our kitchen sink has very powerful garbage disposal, great for food scraps and makes for easy cleanup if you’re into cooking!

BILLS PAID: I keep the bills in my name and pay them. You don’t worry about that. We have WiFi (fast enough to stream Netflix), electricity and hot water, but no cable (we have no TV).

THE APT BUILDING: Entire building has been renovated. The building is a small 2 story building. Quiet, safe, gardens with plants, cleaned/maintained weekly, well managed. Outside in the center courtyard is a grill that is gas-powered (free and you do not have to provide charcoal or gas as it’s piped in) and seating area.

There is also laundry room on first floor, just below us.

PARKING: Parking spot is possible for approximately $125/month additional, it has two spots and we share one of the spots with our neighbor. We text each other to make it work. I’ll explain if you contact me.

PUBLIC TRANSIT: We are a half mile walk to the Metro Blue Line Rail that will take you directly into downtown Los Angeles 7th Street Metro Hub (where you can easily connect to the rest of Los Angeles County). UberPool is available in this area as well, in case you look for affordable transit, as well as many buses. Bird and Lime scooters all over. There is a bicycle rack in the courtyard. One street over is the Long Beach Bicycle Share, which I use and can explain if you need it.
