About the room

Hi there, I’m looking to sublet my lovely apartment for a short term (at least one month) (or possibly long term) agreement with a flexible, financially secure person.

I would like a 30 day trial period with a written agreement that you will vacate if we are incompatible.

I’ve tentative plans to relocate, but nothing has been finalized and I don’t want to lose my incredibly affordable, lovely 2 bedroom apartment.

I’ve worked so hard to create a nice home. I replaced the old carpet with laminate wood by myself (lots of sweat) and have done other upgrades. I put a lot of love and care into the place.

The unit has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and the whole place only costs $1,200 a month all utilities included, electric/internet/water/sewer/garbage. That means we each pay $600.

The laundry room in the basement of the building is shared by the whole building. You will have one designated parking spot off the street in the parking lot.

Honesty is very important to me. There has been car theft and the stealing of license plates in my neighborhood (what neighborhood in pdx hasn’t?). And I did intercept a car prowler in our parking lot a month ago. If you are looking for a garage and gated community, this is not the right place for you.

The room is available Mid to late August.

You will need to be able to pass property management’s background, credit check and references. You will be signing a month to month lease with property management.

About me:

I’m a relaxed middle aged woman who likes rollerskating, contra dance, live music, art, hikes, swimming, world travel, poetry and artists of all kinds. I work for Portland Public Schools and I work for organic farms.

I keep a clean and tidy home and I’m respectful of common space.

I have celiac, legit send you to the hospital, can not have gluten in or on my body, celiac. That means absolutely no baking with wheat, barley, or rye. If you don’t eat gluten you are an angel sent from the heavens. If you do eat gluten, then we will find ways to co-exist and keep me safe and healthy!

The building is very quiet. I’m pretty quiet. The neighbors within the building are tight. We look out for each other, help each other out, and hang out together. A very warm crew of folks.

The neighborhood is quaint. Yards full of flowers, heritage trees and fruit trees line the streets, a vibrant urban canopy filled song birds and the occasional raccoon or coyote.

The location is prime. A few blocks from on-ramp to I84 and I5. Right next to the max, Fred Meyer, cute shops, drinks, and eateries on Broadway. Walkability score of 94.

No smoking of any kind inside or Hi there, I’m looking to sublet my lovely apartment with a flexible, financially secure person.
