Steps from the pool at a luxury apartment complex, what’s up.

NB: the pics are from February 27, 15 days ahead of move-in day, and my departing roommate is working his move-out on a relaxed schedule. Furniture and Staffordshire Terriers you see in the living room area and common spaces Will be here when you arrive, and you’re welcome to enjoy them. All the stuff in the room and bathroom pics, including the fat kitty, will disappear completely, leaving you a bedroom and bathroom that are UNfurnished and entirely yours. We collectively have 992 square feet, so bring all your stuff.

Chill roommate. Nice community, though not particularly accommodating to smokers. I won’t rat you out, personally. Bring a powerful shower head, and you’ll have to sign the lease, which includes an income and background check.

I’m a 41 year old professional, grew up in Chapel Hill, escaped to San Francisco, escaped from San Francisco and now focusing on building my life here, personally and professionally—I’m not the lardlord-with-no-life type who has the time or the inclination to sit around and bitch about how you conduct your affairs.

The other roommate is my snuggly mutt Henrietta. She’ll want to be your best friend and go to sleep on you. You don’t have to let her, but you do have to be okay with her and the presence of some dog hair. I vacuum a lot.

Ideal world, you don’t have a cat, bunny or lizard. Those get taxed as food items in Henn’s head. She listens to my commands so we got away with having Angel here, but Hennie’s level of interest in Angel remains suspiciously intense so I really can’t guarantee your cat’s safety in this apartment. Henn loves people, kids, and puppies, and will become friends with any adult dog you have.

We have to follow the complex rules but serious talks only happen around really serious stuff. I don’t have the bandwidth to complain about little stuff or hear petty complaints. A clean room feels better to be in than a dirty room, and we can settle on a cleaning person we like, but I’m not OCD about constant cleaning.
