Hi there, I am looking for a new housemate to rent one of the rooms in my 3-bedroom manufactured home, available August 1st. This room is single occupancy. Approx 11 x 10ft with closet and two windows. Shared bathroom with one other housemate.

The house is located in a safe, well-kept park in south Medford in a quiet neighborhood. 5min drive to downtown Medford, 15-20 minute drive to Ashland. This tends to be a great house for people who want a relaxing environment. Clean, well-maintained home. Washer and dryer on site. Reserved parking space. Heating and cooling. Dishwasher. Large backyard with veggie garden - Yard maintained by me, although you are welcome to maintain your own plot. I am in the process of building an outdoor lounge space. Some shed space for storage available.

$550 Month-to-Month Lease, plus utilities.
Utilities are split between the three housemates: Power (from approx. $300 in winter/summer to $150 in spring/fall) Internet ($80) Water (approx. $46). All housemates contribute in cleaning the common spaces such as living room, kitchen, and laundry room, and agree to communal house rules.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

If it seems like a good fit, I would set up an in-person showing and meet-and-greet with you at the house. We’re looking for a housemate who is a working professional, clean, respectful, communicative, drug-free, and fun. :) I welcome creative types, including artists, writers, and musicians, but am open to just the right person.

Proof of income, credit report and background check (approx. $55 fee), and two character references required. If approved, $500 deposit and last month’s rent required prior to move-in date.

The park requires that you go through their own background check as well (approx. $20) to be approved by them, and sign a Temporary Occupancy Agreement, also prior to move-in. I would set this appointment up for us. They do not allow marijuana in the park and have a noise curfew at 10:00pm. There is street parking from 6:00am until 10:00pm. No dogs or cats allowed as I am allergic, even though I love them.

I am an artist, poet, bookmaker, songwriter, and occasional art workshop facilitator who works at a nonprofit serving the IDD community. I am currently writing a memoir and am working on an album. I love to paint, listen to music, garden, watch movies, etc. I am spiritual and liberal in my thinking.

My housemate works the night shift at a hotel and is usually sleeping during the day; noise does not bother him. He loves to play video games and is also liberal. He is very respectful.
