About the room

The apartment is the entire second floor of a multifamily home in West Hartford, walking distance to the center. There are 3 bedrooms that are all small typical New England bedrooms with small closets, but the third bedroom has been used as a shared closet / guest room as needed. There is 1 bathroom that is shared. The common areas (living room, dining room, kitchen) is quite spacious. There is a fireplace in the living room, a gas stove/oven, dishwasher, and walk in pantry. I have already furnished the living room and dining room so no furniture is needed there. There is parking behind the house, a washer/dryer in the basement for the unit, and plenty of storage space in the basement as well. The unit also includes a 3-season front and back porch. Water is included in the rent, internet is ~$30 per person per month, and electricity and gas vary.

Please note:

  • The TV in the living room will be mounted above the fireplace (not mounted in the pictures).
  • I did not include pictures of the rooms since they have things in them at this time. I would recommend the room at the other end of the hallway from mine (dimensions 9’10.5“ x 11’7.5“ and closet 2’1“ x 4’1“) so I am not walking back and forth outside your door early in the morning.

About the roomies

I am looking for one roommate: female, over the age of 25, does not have any pets but loves dogs, very clean, stable job, does not smoke cigarettes, if smokes marijuana then only smokes downstairs outside, respectful of noise when sleeping

I am 27 years old, currently a psychiatry resident at UConn Health. I have a medium-sized dog, Zena, who loves to play. I like to keep the apartment very clean so I am looking for someone who would also contribute to regular cleaning. In the winter, the rooms get much warmer than the common space where the thermostat is so I keep the thermostat at 60 degrees. In the warmer months (May-October?), the window AC units in the common spaces have to run 24/7 so it does not get too warm in there. I enjoy playing sand volleyball, going on hikes, spending time outdoors, going to the beach, hanging out with friends, playing card/board games, but I also spend a good amount of time relaxing at home and watching TV (primarily dramas but also several other genres).

If you are interested, please send me a message with some information about yourself.
