INCOME RESTRICTION: The apartment is subsidized. Residents must be under an income cap. This is the maximum pretax income you can make and apply to live here. You cannot make more than $20,000 taxable income per year and apply to live here.

STUDENTS: All financial aid is exempt. This means your scholarship/loans etc do not count towards that cap. It also means the paperwork is easy. Working is still ok, but income needs to still be under 20-25k/year.

Costs per month: $675 Includes everything, utilities, internet, rent, etc. Deposit: 1 months rent ($675) Refundable. Commitment: 1year minimum.

Location: The apartment is located in the pearl district very near tanner springs park. 1.5 miles from PSU (10-15min biking,15min bus/max, 30min walking, 5min driving). UofP is across the river, 5-7miles depending on your route. 20min driving, 40min bus/max, 30min biking. Nearest max station is 3 blocks, 5min walk. The neighborhood is very nice, filled with restaurants, cafe’s, shops, 5min walk to Safeway. There is fantastic nightlife a few minutes walk away, but the building itself is quiet with many families living in it.

Parking: There is one space associated with the unit. It costs $100/mo. It is available at the moment. There is street parking available a few blocks away for free. There are many paid monthly services within a few blocks.

Please Note the apartment is furnished, but the bedroom IS NOT FURNISHED.

Building Features: Outdoor Courtyard- Beautiful landscaped area with benches. Laundry Rooms- Centrally located laundry on every floor, plenty of space and windows. Furnished Lounges- Adjacent to laundry rooms, overlooking the courtyard. Fitness Room- Cardio and weight machines available on the second floor Community Room- Large ground floor room for meeting other residents, reading a book by the fireplace, or gathering with friends. Building Access – Small fob with a buzzer that can call either a landline or a cellphone of resident to open one of the outer doors for entry to the residence. Bicycle Parking – 2 bike rooms on the ground floor.

Application: The rent is subsidized, which is why it is so affordable for the area. Because of this there is a lengthy application process including lots of paperwork. It takes 2-3weeks depending on how good you are at paperwork.

I am a male marine biologist in my mid 30’s. I spent many years overseas and I enjoy chatting about traveling. I’m an extrovert. I love the outdoors and I spend most of my free time hiking, climbing, and camping when the weather allows. When the Oregon rain sets in my inner nerd comes out and I play video games. I like a good craft brew in the evening, but I’m not interested in crazy parties…unless they are the everybody brings a delicious meal from a different part of the world kind =-). I enjoy cooking and would be happy to share meals on occasion. I’m clean, but not a neat freak. I usually clean once a week on the weekend for an hour or two. What I’m looking for: Responsible about paying bills/rent on time every month. Social, friendly, respectful of privacy. A clean person. Likes an occasional beer or glass of wine, but not a party animal.
