This is a 2 bedroom unit, approx 600 sq ft, on the lower level of our home. The lower unit has a private entrance along with private kitchen and private bathroom. Laundry is shared in a communal stairwell of the home. One bedroom is suitable to fit a King size bed, the second bedroom is suitable to fit a Queen size bed. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator/freezer and a kitchenette-sized oven with electric stove. There is a window A/C unit present in the main living room, and central heat throughout the entire space. There is a small shared backyard area with grill, fire pit, and hammock, as well as a covered porch in the front of the home. No pets are allowed on the property. Street parking is available; in 5+ years we have resided here, we have never been unable to park on the same block as the house. There is a small driveway for the home, which is available for you to use on occasion (for moving purposes or other conveniences). Listing price is for the unfurnished unit, although it is possible that we will rent the unit fully furnished at a slightly higher rate. If a furnished unit is what you need, please discuss this option with us! It is possible that we can re-paint the unit prior to move-in, but are awaiting a new tenant for input. We accept payments electronically (through Venmo or similar) for easy rent/bill pay.

Neighborhood: Walk Score: 93 There is a grocery store located only 1 block away from the home. Wallingford features many lovely shops, restaurants, and parks within quick walking distance. Public transit is easily accessible.

Rent and Bills: Lease term will be Month-to-Month. Monthly rent is $1700, due by the 1st of the month. Payments are accepted via electronic transfer. Deposit will be $850, and we hold last months rent to apply when you submit 30-day notice for move-out. Application fee will be approx. $40 for credit and background check. Bills are split evenly between the number of tenants in the home. Most bills are paid only bi-monthly. Gigabit internet service is already set up in the unit. We can provide a 12month history of bill amounts upon request for your informational purposes.

Two mid-30’s medical professionals are seeking a roommate (or two) to share our rented home. We travel frequently and are non-smokers with no pets or children. We are quiet housemates with occasional guests, but no large parties or late night social events. One housemate describes himself as a nerdy introvert who likes games, shows, and craft beers. The female housemate is an outdoors enthusiast, well-stocked with plenty of camping and kayaking gear (potentially available to lend)! We are generally low-key chill people, queer friendly, and are capable of engaging in as much or little socializing around the home as you prefer. Privacy is not an issue, as we frequently went weeks without interacting with our prior tenant.
