Location! Location! Location! This apartment is in a prime location to St. Vincent’s/ Ascerion, UAB, the VA, and Children’s Hospital. The walking around here is fantastic including the food and live entertainment. We are walking distance to Highland Ave aka the Highlands, The Southside, the Highland Golf course, Shopping: Piggly Wiggly “The Pig”, Nail Care, Walgreens, St. Vincent’s/Ascerion, China Moon, Taj India, the Lakeview District, Avondale and Forest Park. 4 parks and an library. Easy biking to UAB. The space is large, stocked, functional, exceptionally clean and organized. The large bedroom is $900/mnth and the smaller bedroom is $700/mnth.

There is a large screened-in front porch, two parlors, a dinning nook and coffee/tea bar. The bathroom is shared, this has worked out fine. Parking is on the street in front of the building or out back in a designated lot. I do have a cat, Klaus. I keep his litter very clean and in my bedroom. He is super lazy with bursts of self entertainment. This apartment has high ceilings, neat architecture- it is a historical, 1930’s quadplex. The neighbors are quiet and friendly.

Illicit drug use, cigarette smoking and chronic overconsumption of alcohol are prohibited. I rent these bedrooms for 1-3 month tenants here for medically related school/work. Will definitely consider a longer arrangement. Part of the $500 deposit goes towards a $200 cleaning fee- the $300 is refundable upon exit inspection. I vacuum, launder sheets, dust, sweep and mop your room. I also launder the towels. All utilities, internet, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning products and bedding are included. Thank you! Jules

I am 53 years young. I am a fairly quiet person. I am disabled yet highly functional 95% of the time. I am active and walk almost everyday. I am happy to keep to myself or engage in interesting conversation, listen to music, paint, play cards or watch a movie. Very chill. See/perform live music whenever I have an opportunity. I am clean and always working on tidy. I currently have a traveling nurse at Brookwood and a student on a Pathology rotation at UAB.
