Hi y’all! Looking for a female-identifying/nb/queer male roomie to join me and my dog in a cute, quiet, light-filled 2 br/2 bath 1400 sq ft house in Chestnut. The lease ends at the end of March 2023.

Ideal roommate: responsible, tidy, quiet, and considerate (like me!), a good communicator. A friendly dog would be okay, too.

About the space: you’d have the first-floor bedroom (10 ft x 12 ft) with walk-in closet and attached bathroom with an oversized tub. Tons of windows and a cute little nook in the bedroom for plants or reading. There’s a flex space (8 ft x 7 ft) in the living area that’s currently used as a dining room but could be converted into an office if you also work from home.

The house: Small fenced-in front yard (landscaping is covered by owner), W/D, gas range stove, Google Fiber, plenty of storage space. Common areas (living room and kitchen) are fully furnished.

Neighborhood: Walking distance to restaurants like Nixta, Houndstooth on MLK, bars on 12th street, a dog park, and the train station. It’s a quiet pocket in a lively neighborhood.

Bills: Utilities, gas, and Google Fiber usually add up to about $150/person.

I’m 29f, triple vaxed, very tidy. I work from home for a software company. I don’t have people over too often and don’t have any parties. Love plants and the house is full of them. I’d have the upstairs primary bedroom + office with my own bathroom.

My dog is a sweet, calm 70 lb lab/pointer mix named Beau.

I lived alone for 4 years and enjoyed it, but I’d MUCH prefer sharing this amazing space with someone over moving into an overpriced apartment!

I’ve been in Austin for 11 years and this is by far my favorite place I’ve lived in.
