1 private room avaiulable! Perks: peaceful, has a private room, a nice backyard, is centrally located in East Bay, and has one low-maintenance, clean housemate, and one adorable cat!

Some key things to know about the space:

• Rent is $1100 + utilities (we pay for gas and electricity, internet, and renters & earthquake insurance, which amounts to an average of ~$100 for each of us)
• There can be absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the living space. Smoking out in the back yard is fine.
• It’s in a nice small neighborhood, about a 20-minute walk to MacArthur BART, and about the same distance to Ashby.
• There is free street parking and it’s pretty easy to find a spot close to the house.
• Laundry machines for you and I to use (landlord has his own machines) on the back porch.
• There is a nice backyard with 2 raised garden beds that are for us to use! The landlord maintains the yard himself and sometimes hires a gardener to do maintenance as well.
• The landlord lives in the main part of the house directly above us, and he is reasonable and is invested in keeping appliances working well.
• I have a lot of kitchen stuff that I’m happy to share, such as a vitamix blender, instant pot, pots and pans, dishes, and silverware. I’m totally open to you bringing in stuff too!
• The room that is available faces the side of the house and has 2 windows that let in a decent amount of natural light. It has a decently sized closet. There is a door in the room that can open to the side yard, but it can just always stay closed. The open bedroom will be completely unfurnished.

I am looking for someone who is…

• double vax’d and boosted. My COVID precautions have been a bit in flux as things evolve, and would be interested to hear what is within your comfort level now regarding mask-wearing, etc.
• in a point in their life where they have a stable income; can pay bills on time
• willing to share responsibility for the upkeep of the living space
• considerate, has pretty high cleanliness standards, and has good communication skills
• self-aware, open to feedback

• I am 29, and I have lived in the Bay since 2017. I grew up in Florida.
• I consider myself to be a pretty open-minded person and like having opportunities to learn new things and expand my understanding of a particular topic or perspective.
• Over the past couple years I have been investing more and more into what I would call my spiritual development. Something that helps me remain connected to my spiritual practices is maintaining a fairly quiet home, so I appreciate it when roommates don’t make a ton of noise.
• For all intents and purposes, I follow a vegan diet Hobbies of mine include: bicycling, hiking, camping, reading, movies/shows, yoga, rock climbing, other various physical activities, visual art and design (drawing, photography, Photoshop), and cooking/baking
