Hi everyone! Sheesh, it is a rough housing market out there right?

We are a pair of step siblings (34 year old woman and 28 year old man) born and raised in Eugene looking for one more person in our age range(ish). We have two dogs and one cat, one of the pups can be wary of strangers and needs time to warm up to new people, once he accepts someone he is very sweet and loving! Just a big dopey (and scared) guy. However, this means that having people over to the house can be difficult. Because of that, the room would probably be best suited for someone that does most of their socializing outside of the home or is okay planning ahead so that other plans can be made to take the dog elsewhere (or go through the steps he needs to meet new folks) He is still young and working with a dog trainer regularly. The other dog is a big sweetie with humans but can have issues with other dogs, she and the big guy love eachother though. We are at capacity for pets with the two dogs and the lil kitty guy, so please be pet free but a dog and cat lover (because they will love you)!

We are fairly mellow and enjoy a quiet space, in other words, this is not a party house. Though a bbq or game/movie night is always super fun! We rarely drink or smoke, we don’t mind if our housemate indulges but appreciate moderation (and no hard drugs please) any cigarette smoking needs to happen outside. I have a record player and enjoy playing music in the house, we will also watch a movie or a basketball game in the living room from to time. That is about as loud as it gets for the most part. Friends visit occasionally, any social gatherings will always be run by everyone that lives at the house well ahead of time…. and hopefully involve everyone that lives here too! I value having alone time and space but ideally there would be a sense for community and friendship in the house as well :) It is important to me to create a safe, happy, and relaxing home space. My job can be demanding so I need a nice environment to decompress and recharge in, and I would like it to be that way for everyone that lives here.

We are your average left leaning Eugene hippie kids and have retained those crunchy ass values in varying degrees. We use natural cleaning products and soaps in the house (and prefer you do the same) and tend to buy organic food (you can buy whatever food makes you happy). We are both omnivores and cook pretty regularly. We like a tidy space but are not neat freaks by any means, we won’t get pissed if you leave a dish in the sink for a day or two …. but if its 20 dishes and a week we are definitely not down. We value good communication and good energy!

Your room would be in the main part of the house and you would share the bathroom with the lady of the house (me). The dude has a pretty separate space in a converted garage with his own bathroom (and tends to keep to himself for the most part). The mellower dog and the kitty are both mine, and the big scared boy is my brother’s dog.

My interests include (but are not limited to): Photography, music, Fantasy and SciFi books/shows/movies, the outdoors, herbalism, cooking, gardening, NBA basketball, animals, food and cooking, dancing, taking down the patriarchy, poetry, travel, mental health, dark humor/potty humor/dumb humor.

My brother enjoys making music, hanging out with friends, watching sports, taking care of his dog, and working out.
