About the room

Beautifully furnished room with private entrance in a very casual and modest home in the Crabapple area of Roswell. We are located on a quiet cul de sac with a beautiful property, a small pond and relaxing front and back porches.

I am a local teacher and my 22 year-old son is a professional musician with a day job as a landscaper. We have one dog and an indoor cat. As much as I love animals, I’d rather not have any more pets here.

You would share the bathroom with my son, so I’m thinking a male would probably be the best fit, though we are not opposed to a female. We’re also LBGTQ friendly. Cigarettes are the one thing neither of us can stand–even outside. Normal drinking is fine but we would not be okay with heavy alcohol use and/or drugs (occasional outside marijuana use is fine).

You’ll have full access to the entire house, except our rooms, of course, and my office where I may be tutoring students during the summer.

You must be willing to take and pass a full criminal background check, have landlord or comparable references and personal references of more than five years.

The room will be available to view in person by 12/9/2023 and available for occupancy 1/1/2024.

About the roomies

As mentioned, I’m a teacher and in the summer I occasionally tutor students out of the house in my front office. My son and I are both pretty chill. When I am home, I spend a lot of time in my room, working on lesson plans, learning new things or quite honestly, just trying to catch up on sleep. I do enjoy sitting outside in the good weather and watching the birds (‘cause I’m getting old I guess). I think I have a good sense of humor, I like to sing sometimes with my ridiculous karaoke setup and I love meeting new people and hearing about their lives.

My son is a professional musician, so he is frequently traveling for shows or tours. The band does not rehearse here, so don’t worry (though in a rare pinch I have allowed the living room to be turned into a rehearsal space for the night ;). My son also works a day job as a landscaper. He is extremely outgoing, funny and responsible.
