Hello! I’m a 42 yo queer woman who just found out that her roommate is moving back to SF in two weeks. I have about a month to find someone to take their room. I live in a 2 bedroom 1-1/2 bath apartment in a small, secure complex. You would have your own, unfurnished private bedroom that has a nice sized closet, built in bookcase and small storage cabinet. We would share the bathroom for showers, but I usually use the downstairs half bath for everything else, so you are welcome to store things your toiletries in the main bathroom. I have a very friendly naked cat, who doesn’t do well with other animals, but loves people. We have 2 parking spots, so you’ll have your pick because I don’t drive. I’m hoping for someone who is looking for a long term rental, I plan on being here for another 4-5 years. The rest of the house is completely furnished and everything is for joint use. We have laundry in the building, but not in the unit. There is also a laundromat next door. The unit is very central, walkable and safe. Close to dining, shopping and nightlife, as well as a couple blocks from a major transit hub. I would prefer another queer person or a straight female, my track record with straight dudes as roommates isn’t great. But you could be the exception. I’m also a leftist and non-religious, so I’d hope that you’d at least be progressive and open-minded. Other than that I’m very laid back and easy to get along with. I work from home, so I’m home a lot. I’d hope you’d pay half of the utilities which would be about $100/month. You’d have to be approved by the property management, but I’ve lived here almost 10 years, so they’re pretty lax about that.
