Room for rent can come with the twin bed and frame pictured for a very small fee if you’d like.

We have a large apartment with an open concept kitchen and living room that gets plenty of light. The available room is in the back of the apartment and is quiet and away from the street. It has one window and a very large closet. We also have a slightly bigger fourth bedroom that we don’t rent out but instead use as a guest room and to store some household items. You have a choice between the available room and the current guest room. We will offer tours after an initial virtual chat with potential roommates. We sign a 12 month lease every summer, so you’ll be expected to sign that with us when the landlord sends this year’s lease. Rent is currently $750 but subject to change/rent increase with the new lease depending on the landlord - TBD. For move-in, landlord requires first month’s rent ($750) and security deposit ($750).

Our apartment is one block away from the Steinway St subway station (R,M). Commuting to Manhattan is quick and easy. Other options for commuting are: Q101 bus one block away that goes to Manhattan, or the N,W trains 10-15 minute walk away on Broadway or 36th Ave. We are conveniently only two blocks away from a laundromat and the closest grocery store is one block away. The neighborhood is a good mix of families and young people and we’ve felt very safe living here. There is also an excellent food scene with a variety of cuisines to choose from, Greek, Mexican, American, Italian, Korean, etc.

We are two 27, 28 yr old women looking for a third female roommate for our roomy Astoria/LIC apartment. We’re both double vaxxed and boosted. We work in healthcare and marketing. We’ve been living together for 2 years and we like the occasional wine and movie night and enjoy watching shows, documentaries, and anime. Our place is on the 2nd floor of a small detached building with yard access. We have a guest room we occasionally use for visiting friends as well as storage. We’re 1 block away from the subway, 2 blocks away from grocery store and laundromat. The neighborhood also boasts a diverse food scene and bars. Our ideal roommate would be another woman, preferably age late 20s like us, who likes to keep a clean and neat home and doesn’t bring the party home. We are fairly clean people and would like someone who also values a clean and comfy place to live, someone who is equally happy chatting just as much spending time alone. Absolutely no cigarette smokers please. 4/20 ok but must be outside - front yard/backyard - some of us get headaches from the smoke/smell.
