Bailey's room

3 bed/3ba 1200sf townhome with central heat and air. I am looking to exchange discounted room(s) for light labor. Pics and additional information will be provided to potential applicants.

I need someone willing to pack boxes for storage, clear out furnishings and general cleaning, most of which I can’t do myself. Everything needs to go to storage (moving will only consist of loading a trailer in driveway - no unloading, reloading or replacing). Once clear, it will be repainted, new flooring, window shades, etc. At that point we can decide who and what goes where.

I am currently in the upstairs master, which has a sliding patio door with driveway view. If a single parent with full or part time child(ren) are interested, they could have the entire upstairs to themselves. The other upstairs bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and large window that overlooks the backyard and shaded by an oak tree.

I have lived here for 15 years, the last 5 single with my cat. Both bedrooms upstairs come with their own bathroom. The single bedroom downstairs has an attached bathroom with private entrance but in the off chance of guests, used with secondary pocket door from hallway.

The downstairs bedroom, before, during and after would be discounted for the labor at $500.00/mo including wifi; Comcast cable’s fastest service - 1200Mbps, Netflix, Amazon Prime Movies, water, garbage and landscaping. PG&E would be included unless energy consumption significantly increases. Full size washer and dryer available to use and dedicated covered parking is available for an additional monthly fee.

The surrounding community is extremely quiet. At night you can see the stars with little to no traffic or noise even though I’m 5 minutes off hwy 50. There is a park, a K-8 school, new community center with pool, gas station, donut shop and several places to eat all within walking distance. Crime is extremely low. No home or car break-ins, homeless, drugs, or police activity and I have never had packages stolen, even sitting outside overnight.

All I require is security deposit equal to one months rent, no drugs (zero tolerance), non-smoking, be respectful, adult mentality, like cats and lgbt+ friendly. Limited day or night guests, but I am also a believer in creating a safe space where you’re welcomed and feel at home anywhere in the house, with respect to private areas. What you do in your space within the law is your business.

Friendly and loving cats are welcome but understand my cat is shy and has PTSD. I know he would love a friend but definitely needs warming up. He is never more than arms length away from me at all times. Sorry no dogs at this time though.

Prefer female for safety, but will consider all if you are especially handy at the aforementioned jobs.

I work long and very stressful hours remotely. In my spare time post-Covid I play video games, play with my cat and watch TV. Pre-Covid I did a lot of hiking, camping, road trip adventures and traveling the world looking for good food and amazing experiences. I want to find the time and the energy to get back out there. Current titles are held by Zion National Park: Angel’s Landing for best adventure and New Orleans for the most amazing food, culture and experience.

I had to end an abusive long term relationship so my home is filled with 10+ years of both good and bad memories. Being stuck inside for the last couple years has really taken it’s toll on me both mentally and physically so I need a change before it overwhelms me.

I’m shy, quiet and reserved for the most part. I tend to keep to myself but can open up to people who want to hang out at times too.
