About the room
If you’re looking for a place to live from Fall 2022 to up to the middle of August 2023, look no further! I live in a spacious (180 sqft) single room in a 7-bedroom, 7-person house (including myself) that’s right by Rackham/North Quad and five minutes away from the Diag. The place is 800/month (payable via Venmo to my landlady, although other payment options are available if you prefer). Though the entire house is a combined lease, each room operates as its own unofficial lease - they are all differently priced, and if one of the other 6 decides to move out, your individual rent won’t go up.
More information:
- 25% rent discount on summer months (May, June, July, August) for 2023 (making your summer rent $600)
- I’m willing to sell my fully assembled bed/mattress, desk, beanbag chair, nightstand, dresser, and recliner (all in the room) for very cheap
- The house has 4 bathrooms, 3 floors, 2 washers, and 2 dryers. One of the washer/dryer combos is 3 steps away from my room on the same floor, which makes laundry very easy. Laundry is also free
- Room (on second floor) comes with a closet, 3 windows, heat, an AC unit, and deadbolt lock w/ key
- The place has one streetside parking spot (in my experience, the lawn functions as a second one)
- Two fridges in the kitchen, sink w/ garbage disposal, dishwasher, TV with all streaming platforms/video games in living room
- Utilities aren’t included in the rent, but one of my current roommates handles it (mostly DTE) and it has never exceeded 100/month. During most months, it’s between 40-80, also payable via Venmo
- Move-in and move-out dates are extremely flexible, as long as move-in date is sometime in late August 2022 and move-out date is before August 16, 2023
