My home is located in West Sacramento and walking distance to Target, Nugget, and several walking & Biking trails. This is a quiet neighborhood and next to a small park. Parking is never an issue. West Sacramento has easy access to the freeways - I-5, 80, and 50 and just a few miles to downtown. We are not looking for someone that telecommutes, works from home or couples, so roomies needs to work outside the home the majority of time and I would consider a commuter if the right fit. The Room is furnished and with a double mirror slide closet, A queen size bed, night stand, and dresser. The walls have been recently painted with three that are a light grey and accent wall is dark purplish/blue. All the furniture and the room has a fresh coat of pain, carpets have been shampooed and room cleaned as of Aug 2025! I have a whole house fan so it keeps the fresh air moving on cool nights but if it’s too hot I run the AC! The roommates share their own bathroom so cleaning and schedules need to be coordinated between yourselves. The shower and toilet are separated from the dual sinks. We are certainly a unique household and not for everyone- This is a home so it different We are a warm, friendly and supportive family home so not a party house but just active and busy. Living with a family offers isn’t for everyone but offer some security, sense of belonging, and some interactions.
I am a single gay dad with two active and busy kids, a 13 year old boy and 16 year old young lady. They have their own rooms and do not enter other peoples rooms. We have had several professional roommates over the years and we all respect room boundaries and limits.
Roomies normally stay 1-2 years because it a safe, friendly and easy to stay. I do a month to month rental agreement and don’t force a lease as life needs change and don’t want to force someone to stay if they have an opportunity.
I am the home owner and we rent out 2 rooms most of the time: The shared bathroom has a double sink at the vanity and separate shower and toilet. The other roomie is a female that works outside at a preschool. This is an ideal place for a commuter or exchange student. I am not looking for someone that works full time from home or telecommutes as I work from home. It is not a place to bring hook ups and/or casual experiences out of respect for everyone.
Pet: We do have a young female pug quiet breed and short hair. Hazel is super sweet and lots of personality so not looking to introduce another pet in the house.
I normally have to TV going for back ground noice… a political news junkie MSNBC - If you love Rachel Maddow we are probably going to have a lot to talk about.
