About the room

My two roommates are moving out this summer, so i have two rooms that i need to fill in order to stay in this apartment. The kitchen is updated, there’s a fireplace, high ceilings, a safe area with a pool and small gym on property. There’s a small closet for storage on the balcony. I own most of the stuff in this apartment, so the living room is fully decorated and the kitchen is fully equipped. Basically all you have to do is bring your stuff for your room and then you’ll be sharing a bathroom with the other roommate. I have a 2 year old golden that’s very well behaved and a total lovebug. I’d prefer whomever moves in to also like dogs. The apartment complex has breed restrictions, but we’re allowed to have two pets per household for a monthly “pet rent” of $25. I’ve already paid the pet deposit. If you’re bringing a pet, i ask that the two meet prior to make sure they’re compatible and to ensure there won’t be any kind of aggression.

About the roomies

I like a “home-feeling” type of atmosphere. I’ve decorated the place to feel rather feminine with lots of plants and flowers. If you don’t like it, I’m more than willing to change it, but my previous roommates didn’t want to pay for anything we used so i made it what i wanted. I’m a bit of a homebody, but I’m super busy so I’m in and out constantly. On a day/night off, I’m generally home having a drink and hanging out with my dog/roommates. I’m a very clean type of person. I usually do an overall dust, sanitize, vacuum once a week and try to tidy up throughout the week. I don’t care what your room looks like, i generally just ask that you be considerate of shared living spaces and clean up after yourself. That being said, i have a dog and he’s basically a fur-covered toddler. He’s very sweet. He’s a stereotypical golden retriever, so he’s not aggressive at all. I let him roam freely when I’m not home, but he generally stays out of my other roommates rooms as they are cat people and don’t particularly like him. And he’s a sock thief when he wants attention. He also likes to pull out his toys right after i put them away, so there’s a good chance you will stub your toe at least once. As for weed, i don’t care if you smoke, all i ask is that you do it in your room or on the balcony. The apartments say no weed, but others smoke anyways. My reasoning for avoiding the communal areas is because I’m in the military and i can’t risk the accidental positive of second hand. Lastly, I’m generally pretty quiet. If you want to hang out, great. If not, that’s cool too. I’m in school full time, so I need some quiet time throughout the day. All i ask is that it be an environment of respect and reciprocation, being considerate of each other.
