Ray's room

I’ve been renovating an older home and have a spare bed/bathroom not being used. I am considering a “room mate” as a way to make new friends and some extra money at the same time. It is furnished with a queen bed and has a few small storage pieces. There is a closet and a built in computer desk with wireless/hardwired ethernet for faster connections. You would have your own bathroom and lots of storage room in the basement if needed. Shared spaces include rear deck, sunroom, living room and kitchen. The laundry is accessible but we would have to work together on that because it’s located in the master bedroom. There is plenty of on street parking and the bus route is just a block away on Avondale Ave. It’s 3.7 miles from Duke University Hospital off Fulton Street (easy bicycle ride). The property is just across the street from the old Geer Cemetery so it gets pretty quiet at night.

Just me and two adult cats. I’m 59YO single white male and never had a room mate since leaving the military 30yrs ago. This is new for me and I’m looking to see if this could work. We can meet for coffee or drinks and see how things go. I will require background checks and security deposit but would like to meet and see if first impressions are a go before we do all of that.
