About the room

4-month sublet in Gowanus/South Slope [June 1-Sept 30.] Walking distance from Ginger’s, prospect park, Greenwood, Nitehawk, the best Mexican food in the area at Reyes.

The room is about 7.5 x 14 ft, gets nice light and has a window facing the street, which is on a quiet block with trees. It fits a full bed, a small bookshelf, a dresser, and has a closet (furniture except the bed can be moved out if you want to bring yours.) The apartment is 3 bedrooms / 1 bathroom with a kitchen/common space in the middle (it’s on the small side, 900sq ft.) It’s on the top floor of a 2-story building on a quiet street, a block from the N/R trains and close to the F and G. The landlord is around if anything breaks and the neighbors are super sweet.

This is a 4-month sublet from June 1 - Sept 30th. Rent is $825 in June and $850 in July, August, and September. Utilities are about $44/month (gas, heat, wifi). Rent is due the first of the month. Once a commitment is made, the subletter will pay the last month’s rent ($850) as a deposit, and rent in September will not be charged.

We’re looking for someone mature and responsible in their mid-20s or older, communicative, and pretty neat. Queer/queer-friendly non-men preferred. If interested, please tell me a little bit about what you do, what you like to do, why you’re subletting, and what you are like to live with!

About the roomies

You would share the apartment with my 2 roommates, Lyris (she/her, 26) who is a musician and barista, and Bailey (she/her, 25) who is a film PA. Both of them are neat and respectful and are looking for the same in a subletter. We aren’t big partiers and we don’t host many big gatherings, but we do sometimes have friends and partners over and share meals together. We keep the apartment pretty clean but a dish left in the sink once in a while is no big deal. We use a weekly chore chart for basic cleaning tasks. Staple groceries are shared, and everyone cleans up after themselves.
