Four month lease takeover with the option to renew for a full year in September. Great location for surfers, bikers, runners, and nature lovers!

Bedroom for rent in spacious, updated single family home with private backyard and two car garage in Lake Merced/SF Zoo neighborhood. We are a 13 min walk to the SF Zoo and Ocean Beach, and Java Beach Cafe near the Great Highway. 5 min walk to major bus lines (18, 29, 58) Approximately 5 min drive to Lucky’s, Trader Joe’s, and Target.

This room is medium sized and located upstairs, has hardwood floors, high ceilings, a full sized closet, and a large window with a lovely view over the backyard! There is optional extra storage/vanity attached to the bathroom. (Photos included) Shared bathroom with bath tub, shower, and plenty of storage space. Landlords are open to painting and wall-mounting in the upstairs bedrooms. The room will comfortably fit any size bed and a desk for working.

The backyard has beautiful zen-style, water conscious landscaping. We have a washer and dryer with shelves to store laundry supplies in the garage. There are also storage shelves in the garage for outdoor gear, tools, etc., and there is plenty more room to add more shelves. Lots of room to store a bike, motorcycle, skiis, snowboard, boxes, you name it!

We have a huge kitchen with a gas stove, double ovens, and a dishwasher that works well. There’s also a formal dinning room and a very large living room. We have some decor up, but minimal furniture and decor (mostly plants). The sofas and dining room table belong to the roommate who will be leaving, so there is plenty of room for furniture if you have some! Otherwise we are planning to pick up replacements soon.

Current roommates: Friendly, tidy, and career-oriented woman in mid-late twenties. She is a grad student and teacher for an ed-tech company who splits her time working and studying from home for about 10 hours a week, and attending classes in person and studying outside the house. Her work/study station is in her room downstairs on the garage-level of the house, so does not share walls with the other two bedrooms. There is generally very little noise transfer between the downstairs bedroom and the bedroom for rent, but we try to be mindful of each other’s schedules and communicate if anything comes up. She also has a 1-year-old tuxedo kitten (Roommate 1.5).

New roommates: I am hoping to find 2 people (female or male) who are friendly, kind, communicative, clean, and like cats (another smaller room is available and posted)! Another cat or dog is negotiable with the landlord, but the tuxedo kitten (roommate 1.5) would love a furry playmate. It’s also important that the new roomies are people who are ok with a catsitter coming by while I am traveling for research over the summer - details TBD but open to conversation so that everyone is comfortable.

Move-in is flexible but currently hoping to for a May move-in. The new roommate will be taking over a lease that runs through 9/15/2022.
